They're obviously just doing this to plug their Joe/TF crossover.
No toys. Hasbro's said, repeatedly, that they don't want to do it.

It reads more like a discussion on the two franchises and what IDW has in store for future stories. NOT necessarily a crossover. Though I wouldn't be surprised if it was announced at the con I think its too early for IDW to consider mixing the two franchises. They've had TF for a while but they're just starting to get Joe restarted and mixing in a Transformers crossover I think would be detrimental to the development of the G.I. Joe comic.

But then again there are movies this summer for both brands so they could very well cash in on the popularity of both with a crossover. So who knows.
