So I was asking about an add on craigslist, the guys collects guitars too not gijoe. He had about 50 or so figs, an estrela destro carded, and a beat rolling thunder and mobile command. He also mentions he has a terrordrome and a defiant without pics.

The figs were all missing weapons and missing heads, ect ect poor shape.

So I asked for pics of the defiant and terrordrome and made him an offer. He counters with price guide numbers and says his colleciton is worth 20000 dollars. Now he sends me this email:

"1st off the Destro is from 1983 --- if you look a little closer its written in spanish. I don't collect toys. These are my toys from when i was 7 years old. I'm asking about a $1000 for everything. OBO. I don't care if these figures come with guns or not. Who gives a "LASER BLAST". They are only worth something to people that care if the file card is there or there is a stupid piece of plastic in some place. THese toys were so complicated that the parts were sure to break at some point. I really have no idea about some of the stuff your talking about, with a the A and B versions. Grow up and get into the real world."

I never saw that youtube video of judge judy...

Also, his e-mail makes no friggin sense...how the hell can he say it's worth 20000 bucks then turn around and not know anything about it? Tell him to quit acting like a d*bag and drop the "I'm too cool for this" charade.

His latest to me lol

"No -- its 1982 from Plastirma. But whatever -- I'm not a toy collector. Guitars are still valuable if they have dents or cracks in certain places that don't matter because its based on how they sound and how well they play. I said I want around a 1000 or best offer -- meaning I would probably take around 500 for everything. Thats why I said make me an offer. All you can do is look at this "LASER BLAST" and unless you have a museum and are charging admission who cares if a gun is missing or there is crack or the paint is messed up. "

me to him

"Let me apply your logic to guitars. All you can do with guitars is look
at them. Unless you have a museum they are worthless "LASER BLAST". You could
play the guitars, but unless you are in AC/DC or the Beatles you will
sound like a little "LASER BLAST" trying to be in a band who can't get
laid. Sounds pretty worthless to me. I'll give you 100 for everything.
Plastirama also made that destro as a replica...i'm sure
they do that with guitars. Hasbro made gijoe not Plastirama.

Since you still refuse to send me pics of anything else the best offer you get for your
broken old joes is 100. "

Um, lots of people, like the ones you think would be prepared to shuck out five digits of dollars for this.

See previous response...

COMPLICATED?! Well, thank goodness you never got into Transformers. And "sure to break at some point?" Tell that to the vast majority of MY well-cared for collection -- or just about anybody's on here.

And yet you've somehow had the presence of mind to consult a price guide, if badly...

Your real world, sunshine? Hoo-boy... There's idiots, there's losers, there's morons, and then there's people like this Craigslist twit who manage to make the idiots, losers, and morons look good by comparison. On top of that, he contradicts himself so many times I'm surprised he doesn't have whiplash from talking out of both sides of his mouth.
