I wonder if Mezco will have these at their booth at SDCC. Since it says ships late July I can only hope.

Yeah but $30? I could see maybe getting 1, 2, or maybe even 3 if you really wanted these, but an army would be expensive. If they'd sell it without Hellboy for a little cheaper...

I saw them and a few other things I'd wanted to get off Mezco's site...but yeah $30 is a bit much...then again I didn't open a Hellboy figure yet so...heh.

$30 is pretty steep BUT the figure is 7" tall AND comes with a Hellboy. That I think justifies the cost. Sure it would sell easier if they didn't include Hellboy but I can see where Mezco is coming from. Releasing it now, some people might not have a Hellboy and this is a good way to get the character out there for folks.

But yeah, armybuilding this guy I will NOT be. Two, maaaaybe three but that's my limit.

I picked up three, I've been hoping this set'd show up on their site like the SDCC exclusive did last year.

Just read that Mezco WILL have this at SDCC. So I'll be grabbing a couple for myself. Not sure what to do with the extra Hellboys but I'm sure I'll find a use for them.

I hope that this (and the 18" Abe figure) are a good sign that they are far from finished with their Hellboy offerings, and may finally do more 3.75" figures. Abe at the very least.

While the price seemed a bit "rough" to me at first too, considering that their SDCC exclusive 7" Hellboy figure cost $30 last year, and their SDCC exclusive 3.75" Hellboy figure cost $10 last year, a 7" Golden Warrior with a 3.75" Hellboy figure for $30, is [comparatively] a pretty good deal.

Stinks a little about the articulation though. "eight points of articulation" look to be shoulders (2), hips (2), swivel just above the elbows (2), waist swivel (1), and neck (1).

I don't mind the articulation, they didn't exactly perform martial arts in the movie. I'm really hoping the second set comes out. That was Abe, Death, Nuuada, & Nuuala, right?

Very true.
Don't get me wrong, the articulation isn't something that was ever going to stop me from ordering four of them, but ball jointed shoulders and elbow joints would've still been nice.

The second box set was Prince Nuada, Abe Sapien, Angel of Death, and Hellboy in black shirt (no coat).

I really hope they announce, at SDCC, that this is coming out.

I got a couple large boxes from UPS yesterday, and it was my Golden Army Soldiers!

I ended up ordering 7 of them (5 for a Golden Army squad, 1 to leave in the packaging, and 1 for my oldest son, for Christmas.)

WAY cool figure!!!

I also found that the one I have opened, so far, has 10 points of articulation, not the advertised 8.
Shoulder swivel, 2 cut joints on each elbow, neck, waist, and swivels where the thin "thigh" piece connects to the more bulky lower part of the leg.

Aww man that Golden Army figure is perfect. Damn them for not making it a more general released figure & I truely do hope the 2nd box set does come out.Talked to a few dealers & they don`t seem to think it will.

Damn it's been about a year since the first wave came out, why did it take so long? That's very Mattel'ish of them, especially given that the movie is about a year old. Way to strike while the iron is lukewarm, guys.
