Sure, it keeps costs down doing simple and pointless (IMO) repaints, but I wonder if they get that it keeps OUR costs down to because so many of us skip those figures?

Agreed, I am not too up on the movie line anyway, however it does look like the ones I want are generally the high demand ones too (Acc Suit Scarlett, Stormy, Paris chase SE) so it looks like the repaints will be the pegwarmers anyway.

Looks like there's a third Viper type we haven't seen yet. Deep Six's cardback shows an "Elite Viper" on it. He looks like he has a slightly more traditional look to him rather than the skull styled helmet the Commandos and Neos have.

Almost has a Crimson Guard feel to the mask.

So you can take the Firefly, add a little paint to the vest, swap out heads with movie Shipwreck, paint the beard yellow, and the goggles red, and you have low light.
I guess i will buy more movie figures, I see some potential in alot of the gear they come with.

While there are some movie figures that I don't like there is more than enough to help keep me broke.

I figure I'll need two of the Sgt. Stone figures. One as is and the other to make into Lt. Stone since I had my hopes up that one day the good stuff from Sigma Six would work it's way back in.

While I wasn't too crazy about the Ice Vipers legs at first they have really sort of grown on me now so they should look great with my other arctic Cobras.

Heck I might even pick up that repaint of BBQ. Would be nice to have a second fire fighter on the Joe team so the repaint would be a nice way to tell them apart.

Even some nice looking figures in the line to do a little customizing with if they have any good sales to bring down the current cost of GI Joe figures.

Guess the best part is that unlike some other toy lines that got a movie treatment it looks like most of the GI Joe movie stuff will fit in very nicely with my 25th Joe stuff. Since I like the movie camo on Torpedo I'm actually looking forward to a few repaints now. Sort of a good way to bring some classic characters up to date by giving them a more current camo look.

And still no mention/sighting of what other figures are supposed to be in the TRU 'Headquarters For Heroes' other than the Firefly & BBQ.

One thing I am pumped about though: even if they are repaints, they're coming with a ton of accessories. :-D

Which probably means $9.99 each :(

Is it just me or does it look like Cover Girl is going to have Duke arm syndrome? A head swap on that movie Heavy Duty and you could have a nice 25th style Barricade. I'm not sure what is up with that Cobra Commander but I'll probably pass on him. The black suit Scarlett looks nice...I'm sure I can find a place for her in my collection. And I like the movie version of Firefly but more as another Cobra specialist and the comic pack Firefly as that character.

Cover Girl actually looks pretty good after all...

Deep Six: Still a pointless repaint.
