So, while on the internet..I was looking up different conventions and noticed that they hall have fans that are their own little faction..like the Stormtrooper guys...(Don't remember their little company) Anyway, is there a joe one? If not, maybe we should start one

Are you talking about the 501st? I wouldn't say they're a company so much as a charity organization. They tend to show up at shows with donations to local charities. At least, that's my understanding.....


I WISH there was a Joe-type thing like that. I would love a giant turn out of people dressed as Joes and Cobras at the Canadian Joe Convention.

The 501st started out as just a fan thing but then George Lucas was brought in somehow and the whole thing turned into a legit deal. They pretty much became a charity organization and all that. But it's still a fan event all of it's self.

The group (and website) CobraCares.com has tried to become the same but it just never gets fully organized. I don't know why, but it just never seems to work out.

But yeah it would be neat to see it happen. Something based around Cobra like that would work great. Tons of Cobra troop options to branch it out like Stormtroopers. Maybe someone more organized one day will step in and bring it about.

well, we have done a charity even at the cons for the last few years.. maybe we should organize something like that.

there is at least one group of guys doing it for Joe. If I recall they built a Snake Armor.
