my tru has the figures for 7.99,happy day. Passed on the animated figures, but picked up gambit and comic deadpool, woot!

Also found black panther and silver surfer, so far, the surfer is my fave of the line, the paint is just cool.

Silver Surfer has paint? From all of the pictures it looks like he is just molded in silver-like plastic. :shifty:

I honestly don't know, but I was admiring his mother of pearl color and segnett assures me its a type of paint applied over the plastic, but I have no idea.

its definitely better in person than the online pictures I saw.

8.44 is just over the threshold for me to pick up very many of these. The Deadpool figure looked great, but he didn't even come in 'til I'd mostly stopped reading modern Marvel comics, so I'm glad I'm not really tempted on him.

I did pick up the Stealth IM, so I could at least sample an MU figure. Cool enough, but you can believe I won't be amassing any AIM or Hydra armies at those prices!

I haven't seen any of these figs at my local WM, but at my local TRU they are $7.99 for both lines, i hope they restock them soon, i needs both Hulks, Iron Fist, Capt. America and another Ronin for a custom.

Man...eight bucks is so expensive when we were getting twopacks for that price in JvC/VvV days. I still haven't seen these figures anywhere, which is the norm for the areas of PA I'm in. But when I do, I'll only be picking up a select few characters that I love, and not figures just to have. Marvel Legends used to be this price. It blows my mind.

$8.44 in Easton, PA. Went to a Walmart at 4am after the midnight showing of Watchmen to get a drink and checked out the toy section. Both the Wolvie figures and the Marvel Universe figures were going for that price. First time I've seen them, and wasn't impressed to even think about buying any of them for that price. I might have caved if Bullseye was there, but luckily he wasn't.

Buy deadpool.

I'm kind of confused, wolverine origins figures have the joe legs, but the marvel guys have SW ball joints, is this going to be on all of them? I can see 8 bucks a fig for the knee'd hinge, but the other ones, wow, they wear out way too quickly.

i've gotta say, so far the wolverines origins figures I've opened have been more solid feeling than the fury files ones. i've got the feeling they were using a different factory than the one that makes the joe figures. these feel too lose and like they have poor QC (hey, there's a Hasbro first!). i shouldn't be able to see inside of silver surfer's lower torso half where it connects to the upper, for example.
