Is there any difference in the 25th Python Conquest and the original?

No difference I can detect other than paint apps, although that's speaking as someone who just picked up a box and looked at it at the store tonight.

I could use two of the Vipers, but not badly enough to buy two jets in a color scheme I'd never want.

Chief did you find those around Denver? Dream just asked me earlier in chat if I had seen them here in Denver metro area yet.

I passed on these today. They had 2 of each on the shelf and even though I'll probably kick myself later for not getting them I just couldn't pull the trigger. If they came with unique pilots then maybe I'd consider them but with a repaint of Wild Bill (as much as I love the character) and a throw-away army builder they just didn't seem worth trying to find a place to display them.

But if they are there next time we go I'll probably get 'em. If nothing else to have the joy of (partially) assembling a Joe vehicle again.

If you ordered yours from Target.com, be on the look out. UPS just dropped mine off about 2 minutes ago. I wasn't going to open them yet, but I'm going to have to open one of the Conquests, because it has a lot of rattling going on in the box that the other one does not. Hope the stupid thing isn't broken.

Cool, so they redid the green Conquest in Python Patrol(or was there an older color before the green repaint??)? I just fished out my green one and was musing how sweet the landing gear was on that, and wished it was like that on the both the Ghoststriker and the Storm Eagle.

The original Conquest from the 80's was light grey with black tailwings. There was a reissue of this color scheme at Target a few months ago and likely still a couple warming the shelf of your local store.

I never had the Python Conquest so I grabbed this one. I also was a fan of the original Python Viper, so that was a bonus. He looks strange and I think its cause they didn't bother to add the "python" striping on him. I'm sure we'll see a PP set down the road using the retooled head and hands and hopefully more complete paint apps.

I picked these up over the weekend. They are pretty much identical to the originals except for the minor tooling changes on the Conquest. (Tabs on the canards and tail fins.) Still, it is nice to get a minty version of both. My Tiger Rat had some sloppy paint on it though. Not to bad but some to where I may swap it out for another.
