Shouldn't the webisodes have started by now?

Anybody know? Did I miss some news somewhere along the way?

Hasbro dropping the ball, that doesn't sound like them. . Still, I'm inclined to be forgiving as the resolute figures are a fine set of toys.

In Toy Fare a month ago, they said it would likely air in "the spring". They didn't get more specific with that. I'm sure we'll be hearing something soon.

I was thinking they'd probably show it right before the movie comes out. Kind of leading you into the movie. SO spring sound about right for when.

Yeah spring is pretty much what they said at last year's convention. They didn't have a date, just "spring". A lot of people were assuming April - May.

I could've swore I read somewhere else that it was supposed to be early March. And on that site that we can't link to there have been similar discussions. But yeah, the vagueness of it is unsettling to say the least.

Basically I'm feeling like someone with Hasbro dropped the ball on this and the 25th leading up to the Movie. Between that and the economy, there could have been some shakeup with who is running the Joe brand and how they're having to handle it now. I mean it's just been weird how they'd had this plan in place for the toy waves to come out before the movie hits in AUGUST with the toys in July, and now nothing for the most part. Along with Wal-Mart deciding against ordering more figures or whatever, it's such a big change they've done.

Nobody ever said early March. Any particular date or timeframe has been speculative... at the convention they said they were hoping to get it up in the first Quarter of '09, but those discussions have recently changed, but we've never gotten a concrete date beyond the most recent mention of "spring".

I seem to remember hearing something out of Toy Fair that said fall now. But all we can really do is wait. Unless they decide to surprise us I think it'll be SDCC or Joe con before we get any new concrete info.

I can actually see them waiting till after the movie hub-ub dies down and putting it out in the fall, and moving the toy line to full-on Resolute mode.

But that is just me.

They didn't just come out whenever. :-/ All new shows came out in the fall (september/october), like the latest line of toys (ah, the Christmas wish catalogs were the best). I always could not wait to see the latest toy and get the newest catalog. Checking all the stores and praying that they had something new. Checking the TV guide for new cartoons. Actually I believe back then you knew when to expect new stuff, now it can show up anytime even with the internet.

I have no idea about Hasbro's actual plans, but at this point I would be surprised if we see Resolute prior to the movie, if we get it at all. The total retailer focus on the movie strongly suggests that we won't be getting anything except movie-branded product until at least after the movie, so there probably won't be any more Resolute toy releases. It doesn't make sense to air the webisodes now if the figures won't be available in a reasonably-close timeframe.

Overall, I fear that Resolute may end up like TF Animated - an interesting concept on its own, but terminated because it doesn't support the primary moneymaking venture of the brand (i.e. the movie), and there is apparently room for only one interpretation of the brand at a time.
