Well, I saw my first "Cobra Diver" figure today at Wal-Mart. I was starting to think this thing was an urban legend.

Two quick questions, just out of curiosity -- the figure's body looks to be recolored from Torpedo. Is that right? With a different head, I would imagine.

And that "water element" he comes with is part of the MASS device, I assume?

And it is perfectly OK to change the lyrics up to the legendary Dio classic "Holy Diver" and sing "Cobra Diver" while you make him into an unstoppable force that is a mixture of Wolverine, Snake Eyes, Sgt. Slaughter, and Jesus. That's right, he brings people back so he can kill them again.

And J_Man, when did you first see the Cobra Diver? This was the first time for me, and while I'm not that attentive to the line, the mostly red uniform and the impressive (and new) card art was enough of an attention-getter for me. I know others have been mentioning this figure for some time, but I'd never seen him before today.

Hehe, Holy Diver is an old song of Dio. You can find it anywhere online. I don't particularly care for the song, but I've heard it plenty of time to where anything close to the name reminds me of it.

I first saw the diver at Wal-Mart about a week before Christmas. Then it was here and there I'd see him. Finally here lately I've seen him just about every time I'm at the store. What I've been keeping an eye out for now is the Cobra Viper pack and the Valor vs Venom style 4 pack. I may grab an extra of the new 5 packs too. Those are the only items that haven't shown up. Even the Moccasin and Skyhawk have been showing up.

I've seen the Sky Hawk and would definitely like to get it. Love the new windowed canopy. Definitely overdue. Haven't seen the Viper Set or much of anything else, but then I haven't been paying all that much attention. Figurewise, all I'd really like is a few Resolute BATs, but I'm not going to buy the entire five-pack just for one.

So far I've only put Lift Ticket in the skyhawk. and of course, it's a tight fit (something about the more things change the more they stay the same... lol)

Oh, and Dio's songs the singer usually hits the crazy high falsetto notes like Judas Priest sometimes does.
