Sadly I can see them pulling a stunt like this. That would make the figures nearly $11 each. Hasbro would then come out with the following line of stink;

"due to the fact that they will see a limited release on the internet we had to charge more, this combined with production costs (the term they use now to replace the oil line they use to wheel out), and overall manufacturing costs (lets throw that one in there to just sound fancy) we had to raise the price. These 7 packs are a 'Thank You' to the collectors who have helped to get the line out, so we think they will be very happy that we made it happen for them".

When questions about this such as "the desert packs only had an internet release and there were 7 figures in there" and " the price of oil has gone down". We will get very muted or non-existant answer.

I really hope that Hasbro is reading this and realizes that we are not THAT dumb.
Need to be $50 bucks or cheaper END OF STORY.

Do we know that these sets are internet only though? If they're at all available in any national chain, I can't see them charging more than $50.

I'm basing this off current market prices.

Currently the joe figs are around 8.00. 8 x 7 is 56. Based on that, I could see them selling this for 59.99 or more.

What were the extreme conditions packs sold for?

I think both sets (desert and winter) went for $60 together. Each set by itself was $30.
If both sets go for $60 I'd be stoked.

DA, this is in no way a slight to you, but yeah, I think joe fans are that dumb. I mean, have you seen/heard about ordering outback from the "club?"


I like the look of these very much and I think they'd roll like gangbusters at 30 bucks a pop, even 35, but 50-60, I think outside of die hards, we'd see a lot of just one set ordering.

I think one of the reasons for a potentially higher price is
considering you get 7 unique, and in teh case of their RAH releases "fully loaded" (i.e. accessories) figures
there will have to be alot of unique acc making going on for this set.

Sure each acc is pennies but there are a lot and then pennies for the packaging, and well i could see where it would go for a few dollars more because of the volume of acc one were to expect here.

Maybe I'm looking for the silver lining but I'm thinking there's going to be alot of win-win trades with the Cobra pack.

Personally I'm not into Range Vipers, Alley Viper; one Lamprey and one Strato Viper would suit me fine for the novelty. After the Toy Fair pics of the "Night Raven" I'm sufficiently turned off not to get more Stratos. I'm disappointed in the look of the Night Creeper, I can't explain why, maybe it's the ridiculous belt straps on his hips or whatever is on his feet (and why couldn't they use that helmet for Dusty instead of some cheap cloth?)

Anyways, I gotta have me a Dr. Mindbender and I'll never turn away a BAT. So out of the 4 or 5 boxes I get of this set, I'll have lots of Alleys, Ranges, Stratos, Lampreys, Creepers, and Mindbenders to trade off for more BATs!!!

As for the Joes, that's an easier choice, just buying 1 pack for the key characters I'd like to own.

I'm hoping for a decent deal on case pricing, like we saw with the desert and arctic sets. Even if these price out to be roughly $10 more each than those sets (outrageous but not an unprecedented one-year hike for the industry), a ten buck discount on five of each set would make it worth my while.
