It has everything but a means to develop lift. At least it's got the little helicopter style fairing on the roof, so us costumizers know where to attach a rotor. They might as well have labelled it "rotor mast goes here."

I really do like the look of it, I'm just a little put off by its total lack any obvious way to get airbourne. Not that I've ever let the Skyhawk's aerodynamic impossibilities keep me from loving that craft, either. Probably the only vehicle from the movie line I'll try to get.

I was just about to mention the Skyhawk. If you look at that pic, you can see that it at least does have engines on the sides, so it does have a means of going foreward. It is kind of hard to tell, but it looks like the missile launchers may actually be thrusters as well.

Am I the only one who doesn't like that Ice Viper? The figure looks cool from the waist up, but those legs. Ugh! Why is he wearing raver pants? How can he move efficiently in the snow with those things?

Yes, near as I can tell, that is Heavy Duty, though I have, so far, been unable to get info as to which wave he actually belongs to.

Justin,

Is there any type of master list of what fig is in what wave, or are you guestimating?

We received a Press Kit with the images divided up into folders that said "Wave 1" and "Wave 2" so that's the basis I used for breaking the pics up on my site. But there were no press photos for that Heavy Duty, so I'm not exactly certain where he falls.

The 7 packs are obviously winners, but I'm really digging the movie figs so far. I know there's a split view of them, but for me I like having more figs to choose from that aren't already looking near identical to the classic joe look. Much better starting point for customization. There aren't many that I'm not fond of. I will say the v1 movie Scarlett head looks about as bad as the Baroness head, but v2 movie scarlett looks much better.

At least they aren't giving us strictly joes in black power suits figures, though the power suits could make for decent custom army builders. And I think I really dig (hard to say until I have them) the Stormshadow figs. I can see one of those being default for me, and actually might be an interesting enough take for him to find himself a spot in my EXCAL verse...

I am eyeing the movie figures for their custom potential as well. Looks like I'll still be passing on a lot of the vehicles, but I could see going for that Mole Pod. I've been in need of some Joe-scale drills for a loooong time. I was hoping for something bigger based on that con display from a couple months back. I suppose that could have been a different vehicle altogether, and we might see that as well on down the line.

7-packs = AWESOME.

Cool Toy Review has some pics of new DC Infinite Heroes, but I don't see any new articulation on them. Weren't these figures supposed to be "upgraded" from their current late 70's articulation to something better?

Hasbro's Marvel lines will blow them away completely if Matell doesn't step it up a few notches.

Got a link to those pics?

Nope, he made the thread useless due to lack of pics ;)

Fun note: the new 5-pack Snake Eyes has different articulation in his right arm. It swivels above the arrows instead of at the wrist.

*Goes back to having Cobra Commander make fun of Shipwreck's man purse and how Polly doesn't stay on it*

Take a closer look at animal man.

Actually the TF pics no one zoomed in on it, but I saw some at the NYCC last week of the articulation.

There is the link to the Infinite Heroes. On second look, there is one figure with added articulation.

Once again, Mattel sucks.

Killer Croc is sweet, the rest aren't even good for fodder.

SOOOO disappointing.

Yeh I'm still not understanding Mattel. It's pointless for them to have had the Master of the Universe figures if they have no thoughts on selling them in store. Toy Fair isn't a fan show even though many of us look at it more less as it is. I like that new racing toy idea they have, but they should know just as well as any of us that it'll be clearance shortly after it's released.

This would be neat to have:

http://toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=9&itemid=14127

I wonder if Hasbro has even any idea how well they could sell this? They could do a 4 gig one cheap and pack in some clips of the Resolute cartoon and some various other bits of G.I.Joe images.

Yea no way to have big DC vs Marvel battles with the figures because the DC just looks horrible compared to how the Marvel 4" line is shaping up. Some characters just scream for super articulation and yet the figures are only a we bit more articulated than the very first Star Wars toys. Ouch and some of those C shaped hands.

You'd almost think these figures were something from a super hero knock off brand instead of being the best Mattel could do. Really sort of sad because it might have been cool to mix even more 4" stuff, but I just can't see paying good money for bad figures.

Say, has there been any mention of further Resolute Figures at the Fair, or will we hear about them during the summer Con season?
I'd really like to see a Resolute Snake Eyes to go with Duke.
