I don't think we should plan on playsets anyway. Hasbro pretty much stated at the Q & A session that we should only expect any kind of "big ticket" item when there is a large accompanying media event to coincide with it (unless you're Star Wars).

Thus, TF 2 gets the $100 Devastator, and G.I. Joe gets the $100 Pit. Even if those both fly off the shelves, though, that doesn't necessarily just give a green light for every other playset to get out to retail.

So the PIT is just a MCC V2? Kind of boring really. This thing is NOT going to sell at a hundred bucks. And thus our chances of future large Joe playsets are doomed. No Terrordromes for us.

blasphemy, we must all continue hoping for a new drome.

100 devastator, what?

I have another question, can one of you guys tell me how big this thing is relatively? I read the dimensions and it sounds like the rumbler(playset) but then you guys compare it to the MCC, am I misinterpeting the size?

Seriously, it's all these freakin negative people like General Hawk that are bringing down this hobby. Can't you just be positive for once and hope for the best?!?!?!

Ok, I can't even do it straight faced. I tried. :rotfl:

As a collector interest this thing fails :-/
I was not against dropping 100 or conceiving of doing so if this was worth it, but based on the pics, the problem is it tries to carry so many buckets of water that it loses most of the water in each one. There is not enough detail for all the little compartments they try to squeeze in based on the pics.

Where the ROCC knew what it was and executed according to those limitations as necessary, this thing is unsure of what it is, and it shows overall. It reminds of the Cobra Mountain in a sense.

When you try to squeeze in too many play features you have to limit the scope of each to make them work. Had they focused on say, 1 big room inside the thing, that may have worked. It wouldn't be accurate but it would be collector friendly.

BTW, it may work as something that appeals to kids, but for me, you basically pick up this big expensive plastic hunk that has 0 room for you to do anything with it in terms of diorama displays.

I really think that is why Lanard never attempted to do this. Their vehicles have always had enough troop area play in the right proportion, but i guess they never saw the value of a larger playset because they could not accomplish said goals.

btw there seem to be an awful lot of cardboard extras.
If that is the case ULTRA fail :-/
Why buy money on mass produced cardboard when we can basically play with photoshop and make it ourselves? (again as a collector fail though i don't see many kids being too happy with something that can fade away with the morning rain)

This goes back to the 82 Missle command thing
and the Shadowloo HQ battle arena.

If those are just placeholders for real plastic pieces of such a sort, that may be a redeeming quality (i.e. the PTE HQ was sort of bland and one sided but those chairs, and table, and screen made it a very desirable collector piece)

I'm actually quite looking forward to scans of the cardboard stuff so that we can add it to the wiki. I could totally use the cardboard pingpong table.
