Could be interesting, depending on who they do and what they look like. If they're just Sigma Six rehashes with movie colors and markings, I doubt I'll bother. If it's something new and they blend well, we'll see. I'll also be a little concerned about the price point, given the announced prices for some of this year's vehicles.

I like the toys, they are clunky and durable, I can just throw one in the car and always have on on hand, :)

So with a kid in tow, I'm very happy to see them return.

The pictures I've seen so far look more like a mix between Combat Heroes and Sigma Six. Hard to tell the size from the picture but I don't think they are as tall as the Sigma Six figures and they lack the articulation of the Sigma Six line. Plus those really huge feet.

A pretty cool line though for the kids just a little too young for the 4" figures or for the collectors wanting something a bit different in their collection. I just don't think it means the return of Sigma Six though.

The Action Battlers definitely fall short of the Sigma 6 figures for articulation, accessories, and design. I'd be interested in these figures for heads for 8" customs if half the heads weren't too similar to existing Sigma 6 molds.

I think these are more like the Star Wars Force Battlers that came out a couple years ago. I saw the pics from Toy Fair and they look more like the SW figs than traditional Sigma 6.

These are about as far from Sigma 6 as you can get, other than the proportions. They're NOT 8" tall (closer to 6"), articulation is much more limited, and they really don't match up under close comparison.

I wish they were, but unfortunately no.

Does it seem odd to anyone else that these AREN'T Sigma 6 based?

I don't understand why Hasbro would reinvent the wheel, when they could have easily done essentially the same figures with pre-existing Sigma 6 parts.

Maybe they're going for a certain price point with these. Sigmas were big and intricately articulated, which made them expensive. These smaller and less articulated guys will probably be cheaper and easier for parents to give in to buying. Just my 2 pennies. :-)

Exactly. These Action Battlers are much more affordible to produce, and thus will retail more reasonably. Sigma 6 already got a harsh look because of their price points, and considering the 12" figures are now at an MSRP of $16, I can't imagine the Sigma figs would be that far removed from that, if not more due to the accessories.

Well they're the same thing as what Mysterious Stranger said. They're just like those Star War ones that came out. They didn't sell well and ended up with KB Toys getting all the remaining stock. They sold through finally but it took a while. They never seemed to be very popular. I liked some of them and did pick up the ones I liked.

That's probably how I'll do with these, if any actually look good in person. I'll probably hold off and see how they sell first. Wait and see if they'll end up clearanced like the Star Wars ones. There's no KB Toys now for the left over stock to go to.

Hellooooo Big Lots!

I do have to say I'm a bit surprised by the addition of these to the line up. Like J_Man said, the Star Wars versions didn't sell very well though I'm sure the cost factor had something to do with these showing up.

I'll wait and see how they look in stores. If there's a character that jumps out at me I may pick it up. And if they do a Rock 'n' Roll I'll have one. But I'm keeping the focus of my collection to the 25th style figures and vehicles and the Combat Heroes line.

These are like Sigma 6 meets Rescue Heroes. Looking at these, I have to wonder if Sigmas looked a little more like this (less anime) but with all the articulation, if they would have been more popular. They look really good but it's not likely I'll go crazy over them...kiddo'll probly want them all! They add Shipwreck to the line, I'll probaby hunt that one down to fee my fetish. ;)
