Does it really come with a ping pong table? That's awesome.

Have there been any single carded pictures of Hawk revealed, or can we only get him by buying the Pitt?

I think I remember reading somewhere that the PIT comes with a vehicle exclusive Hawk. Between the other Hawk releases I'm sure we can replicate the one that comes with the PIT somehow.

THis is major sux, Size wise it looks like the price range is wrong. On design its ludicrus, its a mobile base that becomes an underground base HUH?!

Lockers ect on oustide and rocks inside, oh but rocks on a mobile base.

Ping Pong table is nice but definatly not $100 nice.

Hawk only included with this, he was on my debate list due to him being Quiad, I guess that debate was settled.

Parts of it look out of scale (short stairs up top, cockpits look cramped, ect) Which implys that it is a retooled unreleased sigma six 2" toy. Not something to get my attention with.

Not only does the Turbo Tank come out better on this. The Transforming batcave comes out better here too.

Now the fun part of people trying to convice those of us who don't accept it that we are wrong  Been dealing with that since Cobra Mountain, guess another aspect of the hobby that will never change ;-)

PS we need a tounge in cheak emote.

Bizarre.

That's my thing with it. Is it supposed to be a 'two vehicles in one' sort of thing (like MicroMachines used to do) where the closed up vehicle is one distinct vehicle, not the PIT, then you open it up and it's the PIT? If I at least see it like that, then I'm okay with it (I was the kid who hated those types of playsets because I couldn't separate the two modes... "this semi is waaay too huge for the cars!" "What kind of town has wheels?!") Now, I'm okay with it, but still find it to be less satisfying than two distinct vehicles or playsets. I mean, had they made the PIT so it folded up into a big box just for storage, maybe a footlocker, it would have been able to incorporate more play features into the expanded setup. At the same time, the Rolling Loveboat could have been made a bit less... whatever it is that makes it just not quite click... had it not had to be designed with the secondary, expanded play features in mind.

Overall, it's okay, and I might get it, but I just can't commit right now and say I will. If I can figure out how to work it into a diorama as a permanent structure, I might, but I just don't see it being something I use in setups like I do other vehicles.

I think they overthought this one.

A simple building with tons of detail, REALITY and play features would outsold this monstrosity 10 to 1. Give kids some credit....not every toy needs to 'do something', they can use thier imaginations every now and then.

How many of us heres favorite item as a kid was the 83 HQ?

Actually I will take that a step further and say look a few feet down the toy lane at SW. WHile some argue SW is primarly an "Adult" thing, I tend to see kids all over it as well as adults. The kids dig those vehicles too (You know the Jedi Starfighters and Vader Ties that do very little, occasionally a retractable gun or something with a launcher but one that doesn't interfer with the look of the toy).

The Clone wars series has some Launchers but really they aren't as bad as what is packed with the Joe Movie Line. In fact most can be subbed for real(ist) rocket launchers or back packs.

Guess what I am saying is the "Play features" wouldn't work in another, More popular line so why put them in the joe line? Seems Illogical :shifty:

Edit: I just viewed the YOJOE press pics, and noticed the on the pit (when in vehicle mode) that the railings come up to about Hawk's knees, more evidence this was to be a sigma vehicle.

If it gets to clearance, that is exactly what I'll be doing with it.

If you do raps you have to do the "flying sceane" from titanic with movie scarlett and Snake Eyes.

Saw that once with a hydrofoil and Destro and Baroness, but this would be funnier.

You know what, zed, I think you may be right. It does look like it could have been a Sigma Six 2" vehicle. I thought that the jail cell in the middle was a bit off size wise but realize that it would have been a great size for a figure a bit smaller. Funny, how if it was a Sigma Six scale vehicle, I actually think it would have been cooler. Hahaha.

I also agree with your's and ZG's points that kids don't need EVERY toy to have magical gimmicks. Plus, something with this price point (much like the Millenium Falcon) should have been made to cater to the collectors more, since most parents aren't going to throw down a hundred bucks on a toy a kid may just end up breaking. I don't even see kids buying Joes. Maybe that'll change with the movie, though.

looks like cardboard to me, which actually makes me think this base might be usable for something besides a joe base, maybe like SW said, a cruise ship.

so Hawk costs 100 bucks and comes with this hunk of plastic, eh?

Now that I look again, I can't believe I didn't notice that it's cardboard. If the only way to get accessories for the pit is cardboard fold-ups, I'm okay as long as they look as good as that one.

Yup, The Pit comes with that ping pong table as well as several other cardboard crates, etc...

The familiar leather jacket Hawk right now just comes with the Pit, there will be a vested version that comes out in a single pack somewhere down the line, though I'm not sure if we'll be able to get the movie-accurate Leather coat anywhere. I would be shocked if we didn't see him re-released somewhere at some point.

So the PIT is just a MCC V2? Kind of boring really. This thing is NOT going to sell at a hundred bucks. And thus our chances of future large Joe playsets are doomed. No Terrordromes for us.
