Wow, people [LASER BLAST] about the spring-loaded launchers from the 90's, but damn, look at those!

Bet they won't launch those projectiles 3'.

I'll definantly buy a few of Scarlett (i'm pretty sure we will get multiple versions of everyone) and a few of the Ripcord Accellorator suits (those look awesome for custom fodder). Overall not bad, nothing like there original characters though which isn't really a bad thing. Lots and Lots of custom potential (thank GOD they stuck with the 25th body types).

I'm loving these. I'm going to be buying lots of those Accelerator Suits for customs. And that Zartan is a great idea. Two figures in one- Cobra infiltrator and fodder good guy soldier. I'm all over that!

Finnaly, nothing that I would want multiples of. Except maybe scarlett for parts. 2009 is gonna be my year to save some money for once.

I like your parody of the fan mindset, but I have to disagree, these look . . . ok, I mean, I could take them or leave them. I"m sure we'll all end up getting them, but I don't see ordering them off EBay or anything to get them early, lol.

I think I like ripcord and scarlett enough to preorder, but thats about it, lol.

I was sure I wasn't going to buy these, but I might get Heavy Duty, Shipwreck for Polly, and Breaker if his communication gear is cool enough.

I still think packaging and all that these couldn't look less like generic movie line toys - much like what was cluttering the toy stor shelves in the late 90s and early 00's. They show about as much imagination as a pizza box - and they don't have anything about them that hints at "45 year long successful toy line"

I'm a sucker for anything Joe, so I'll buy them, I can do without the spring loaded weapons, though.

Nice Shipwreck and Viper. The rest I can pass on though they do look like nice figures. The benefit of paring down a collection becomes apparent now. If I still had loads of stuff I'd buy the rest just because it wouldn't make much difference in the pile, but now that it'd swing it over a minimum, it's much easier to pass on the borderline stuff.

famous last words there buddy
they have bankrupted many a collector :rotfl:

As mentioned, sans giant rocket launchers I thought these would look better with gear. I like the urban camo look. not so much for joes but a generic as Spectre mentioned Tom Clancy type force.

Scarlett looks pretty good. And, I think I could use that Viper for custom monster fodder. That Ripcord might not be too bad for an updated Stalker, in combat armor.
