You know, I don't want to throw cold water on this, but one wonders -- if there are stores clearing this toy out for over 75% off, and likely less than it cost them to BUY them from Hasbro, does this toy have to be considered a failure as such? Did enough of them sell PROFITABLY?

The answer to that question will be known if Hasbro showcases another flagship vehicle for next year. With Toy Fair documentation already mentioning a Turbo Tank, you would have to infer that the market for these larger vehicles was at least large enough to justify their production and that new, large vehicles are being considered.

Looks like the big Star Wars toys weren't a failure...the Turbo Tank appears to be on docket for this year! :-D

That's the first I've heard of any AT-TEs making it to clearance. I haven't seen any of those in the stores since before Christmas.

Heck, for those prices dude, you should get them both!

I've only seen the AT-TE for regular price around here. Only Target and Toys R Us got a restock. They sold through about a week before Christmas and it wasn't until last week I started seeing them again.

Both Target stores are pretty low on their clearance stock and they haven't reduced the price anymore than what it was.

I too saw the AT-TE for 64.00. If it goes lower, then hopefully I can get one.

All the Wal-Marts around here dropped the AT-TEs to $64 right after Christmas. Seems it was the "universally" agreed upon clearance price!

Economics caught up with me again. I found the BMF on sale for $67, and I bit. That price was quite a bit lower than the $100 clearance prices I had seen the BMF selling for, plus for whatever reason, the ones I found for $67 didn't look like they had been horrendously manhandled during the holiday season. So now I have a gigantic BMF. :) That said, I wouldn't have objected if the price had been lower and the Han and Chewie figures had not been included.

I also found the Target Joe sets for $29, and I bit on them too. I still think that it looks like a really nice set... even the bottom of the packaging reminds me of the dios Hasbro set up in their 1985 catalog.

I managed to find one at Target a couple of weeks ago for $25. That was the only time that I have seen one on clearance.

My local Wal-Mart was out of BMF's since early November, but got four after Christmas. The AT-TE was already at $64 and the BMF's joined them last week. I grabbed a Falcon, and good thing as they were gone when I checked two days later. The last AT-TE is still sitting there. But the $64 price point does seem to be popping up in a lot of places.
