well I was surprised by the outcry the first time around, actually. Like Lance just said a few posts ago, this could well be the default Baroness fig. It seems to have the same body construction as the new 5 pac everyone is raving over, and the head/glasses combo looks more realistic than any - ANY of the other figs I've seen of hers.

Sure she looked squinty w/o the glasses...but..come on...think about it... anyone you see not wearing their glasses...what do they do? ...precisely.

everyone was ready to throw the line to the wolves with the last pics, now it's "best Baroness figure... EVAR" kinda funny if you ask me.

Two things wrong with that, not everyone is saying "best baroness evah" and two, heck, even if they were, its not like the bar was very high to begin with.

To me, this figure still looks like crap, maybe if that belt can be sanded off, and the head, umm, crap, burned?

I'll probably nab a couple, one for the kid, one to customize. The body will be useful, even more so than the other 25A Baroness figs to date. If there are removable glasses like that, I think those could be nice for customizing, and I think the flaws in the head, mainly the chin, could be fixed with a little exacto work, to make the head useful as either an improved Baroness, or some other custom. I might remain in the minority, but I like it.

I think this is a cool looking figure. And I dare to say she'll look better in person.

Just bought it...when I get it, I'll let you know.

(I'm a sucker for loose figs that aren't supposed to be out yet.)

I think my problem with it is the glitter. She looks like a he-pimp selling drugs or something. No pretense of military at all.
Plus what is with the friggin launcher. I thought we have gotten beyond Neon 94 :-/

That case does look sweet though and seems like it can open too. Plus there are glasses (chaos one of the reasons i didn't go for this is because it is missing the key component of what makes her Baroness) but will wait for your pics.

Yeah, though of that...but it was just cool to have this and then see if there is a difference in the actual carded one

Just picked up this issue. Here's descriptions of what pics they have.

Page 50 - Pilot Destro, Training Storm Shadow and Shockwave (we've already seen) are posed with movie Duke in desert camo (decent facial likeness) and movie Hawk (very decent facial likeness)

Page 51 - Small pic of movie Baroness with dark glasses, full body, looks decent enough. Standing in front of Movie Moto-viper & Scarab vehicle. Can't see much of Moto-viper but it's not close to the ARAH version from what I can tell. Scarab is just a tricked out H3 Hummer with cow-catcher and spring-loaded (I'm assuming) rocket launcher. Still cool looking so far.

Page 52 - Mighty Muggs of Serpentor (w/ cape and cowl), Cobra Commander and Snake-eyes. Resolute Tunnel Rat (been there done that) and Combat Heroes Shipwreck and Crimson Guard.

That's the last page of the toy article. There's also a page on Resolute the animation and a preview of the Origins comic by Larry Hama.

I'll give it a read through tonight when I get home and if no one has posted about the article I'll give a rundown. Don't have time to do it now.

EDIT - there's also a 5 page article on the movie. No new pics though.

Yeah, QuaidHawk looks pretty good - I hope we get a hatless version (stoopid berets!) - because that would be a great head for customs.

First part = :rotfl:
Second part = Does any Baroness fig though?
Third part = amen. Seeing that addition was the first thing that really made me flinch so far. But the case looks sweet. And if the glasses make the final cut, I'll stand by my view.

Ah Doc, at least the black jump suit was something akin to the regular black ops stuff you may see on Seals, or SAS.

They never wore full leather ones but it was a chick and a cartoon and there wasn't too much christmas display on it you know.

This may do really well if it's customized and doesn't have the silver thingies.
