It happened, the Sarge :sgtslaughter:

gets released from the WWE due to the current economic woes and cost cutting measures.

Also, released...... Ron "Damn!" Simmons.

Man, this stinks.

that sucks for Mr. Remus, yeah, but iff the WWE doesn't have a stranglehold on him anymore, maaaaaybe Hasbro could make a new GIJoe figure of him.

Yeah, I heard about this today from a friend of mine who follows thewWWE. Serious bummer for the Sarge. Anybody know if he's in the WWE Hall of Fame? If he's not, he should be. :-(

If this means that they released his rights as well, I can see Hasbro making a figure of him soon after the movie has come and gone. That would be nice.

Don't you guys remember my post? Jakks was going to make a 3 and 3/4" figure of him this year in their Build and Brawl line. With him being gone that figure may be in jeopardy.

On the bright side with being released from the WWE that means he can go out and do other things like voice acting or bit parts for TV. Considering the way they made him into a jobber for most of the times he showed up it's not like he was really getting to do cool things in the WWE any more.

Jakks signs wrestlers to Jakks contracts too, so no Hasbro will probably never do that.

And plenty of released wrestlers have had their figures still come out.

Possibly, but it may depend on how far along they were with it. The Bobby Lashley figure came out after he had left the WWE, and I think there's an Elijah Burke figure coming up, and he's been gone for months.
