I just want to know Who are the agents that make up Action force. I know that they have a fan following. Who are they (which Characters) and how do you use them!

the only Action Force characters that really have any place in my 'verse are Moondancer (tasked out to GIJoe), Jammer (tasked out to GIJoe), and Red Jackal (Iron Grenadier tactician).


I'm slowly working Red Laser in too.

I'm not sure how I use them in my 'verse.

I think I use named characters like Steeler as Steeler. He's just in OpFor BDUs or as temporarily assigned to Action Force.

Any of them in Tiger Force (TF) colors are part of Tiger Force.

Action Force to me is the English version of GIJOE. That means Blades, Dolphin, Gaucho, Jammer, Moondancer, Stalker, and Quarrel are English soldiers.

Red Jackal is another name for Destro, Red Laser is a member of the Red Shadows, and Hunter is a character along the lines of Cobra de Aco.

One of my projects over the years has been to create 'Liaisons' from foreign countries to assist the JOEs as they foil Cobra all over the world. It always bugged me in the cartoon that The JOEs could travel all over and conduct military missions in foreign countries with no red tape. I looked at the CTU agencies and started creating characters from the SAS, GIGN, GSG-9, Israeli IDF, Joint Task Force II, etc.

Now I'm wondering if they should be included as members of Action Force, or at least, my version of that...

Well I use them as Europe's equivalent to G.I. Joe. The Soviet Union/Russia had(has) the Oktober Guard so it would make sense for the EU to have their own team also.
I've renamed some of them so that they don't have the same code names as the Joes. For example, Stalker is now Night Stalker.
Then Space Force is instead the Air Force.

For my collection, only the really radical repaints with brand new codenames make the Action Force Roster. I've been assembling them in 25th form.

So my team consists solely of:
Quarrel (Scarlett repaint in black and green w/red)
Gaucho (Gung-Ho repaint in green and red w/black)
Blades (Tripwire repaint in black and gray)
Hunter (Cobra Officer repaint in black and gray)

To add some flavor and round out the team, I would add Big Ben and Sigma 6 Lt. Stone. I'm working out custom recipes for them.

If the club does end up doing a Red Shadows / Action Force set, I would love to see them translate many of these to using Joe molds. Personally, I don't need to see a club Red Laser, Quarrel, Blades, Hunter, or many others as much as I would enjoy Baron Ironblood, Black Major, Red Shadows trooper, or Eagle finally made with Joe parts

I've ended up lumping all of the original AF characters with many of the South American exclusive Joes in my Action Force, which in my 'verse is a somewhat more grounded/realistic take on a UN special missions force in the vein of S.H.I.E.L.D., Stormwatch, or Checkmate, to use some various comic book examples. The idea of a unit that operates more globally appeals to me more than just a European G.I. Joe. Though I am toying with the idea of a British Joe counterpart using the characters from the Marvel issue #50 whatever with Flint and Lady Jaye teaming up with Destro (Jingles and such).

Notpicard's list is the best and yes it is pronounced "Zed" Britain is pronounces the letter correctly and Skip is the leader of Z force (you had Eagle listed as the leader for SAS)

Action Force is the British version of Gi Joe in my verse. The main team is Action Man, Lt. Stone, Quarrel, and they are led by Big Ben. There are other members in there, but they vary per mission.
