Mine is the "Stars and Stripes Forever" poster I won off eBay. More so than figures, vehicles or even cartoons, that early 1982 artwork shows perfectly the world of G.I. Joe that formed in my head, and is a perfect window into what I see G.I. Joe is about.

In heaven, it's 1982, everywhere is a dusty canyon and the Joes are raising the flag as Cobra roars in to attack.

Sigh. Beautiful.

It's all 1:18 Trekker. I created it from actual photographs of the Canadian set of the now retired SG:1 show. There's are more shots of it in the gallery here onsite. I made both of the bases, both SGC and Pegasus site, and two external Stargates. I sent the Asgardian one (yellow light registers) to Lance Sputnik, since I shelved the dio-story. Boxed the others and keep the Puddle Jumper craft out for reminders.

Very impressed here! 8-O

I have given some thought about this topic and must say I have a few items that I would consider capstones.

First off I must say that my 82 straight arm zap is the major capstone figure. Nothing spectacular but my dad bought this figure for me when I was about 23 years old or so.....It was a replacement for the one that I had that was so brittle that it fell apart into a million pieces. It was the first time that he really supported my hobby since becoming an adult......

My second one would be an original piece of art, of the Baroness, that was rejected by Marvel for being to sexy and it is very nice......it was to be in the back for the dossier when the marvel comic was doing that.....I will try and post a pic but I know that Sidewinder had a pic on his site at one time.....

This reminds me of the DDP Baroness cover art by Adam Hughes that DDP was going to use but was rejected for some reason. I have the printout that DDP had hanging in their booth at SDCC that year and had Adam Hughes (reluctantly) sign it the next year. I thought I had lost it in the fire but found it in a tube of other posters I had kept at work. Gotta get this sucker framed. Yeah the print is a low-res version blown up a bit too big and shows pixelation but the story behind it is what makes it special to me.

I have an actual signed and numbered print of that that I got from AH at the Star Wars Celebration 4 in LA. And I have a re-carded Baroness that I am waiting to take possession of. Together those could be a sort of capstone for me.
