There's a thread over at JBL that had some "clues" from the club about the set. Current speculation is that it's Action Force themed with possibly the Red Shadows as the baddies.

Yeah, I read that same "poem/clue" in the Newsletter, and I'm sort of leaning in that direction myself, but I'm hesitant to make any distinct predictions for the time being. That'd be cool, though.

Awesome!!! I am so glad they finally announced it. Kansas City will be the farthest Con from me yet but i am already sure i am going. It is 18 hours away from me, St Louis wouldve saved me four hours on the road if I drove.

I have options about travel as of now I need to figure out, but I plan to start saving on Jan 1, it will be my New Year's resolution. Hopefully I get a pay raise, and a big one, hehehe.

well,.. theres one good thing about these far away Cons...

if it wasnt for joecon, I would have never been to FLorida, New Orleans, Texas, or motivated to visit my family in Atlanta....

So Kansas City will be one more pin in the travel map.

Nope he said it was a SALE that was only good til just after Christmas. He even gave the address and location so if someone were to call them and tell them they'd have a LOT of business in that weekend I'd bet EVEN if they were closed they'd open up for that convention.

I have the 2007 set (Rock 'n' Roll is in it) and haven't been interested in the others available. But if it does turn out to be Action Force I'll get it. I don't know why but it intrigues me.

Let me just come out and say: Knowing the dates and location ahead of time is a great move for Master Collector. This is plenty of lead time to plan a vacation. As for my possible personal attendance, I can't say yet (will have to talk with my probable new employer). But it's still good to know the weekend ahead of time.

If this is the same area of town as the last one, I stayed off-site, and walked about 20 minutes to the con every day. It wasn't to far from a super 8 or something like that, not sure what Hotel I stayed at.

EDIT: forgot the discount code.

Split the cost with some roomies? I got a quote and the rate came around 417. Divided by 4 that comes to around 104.25 for the weekend. Much less than what we have paid for the past few years.

Even if I could attend, I'd get a room to myself. I once shared a room with a snorer that could probably top Kilcarr, based on his description, and I've been told by a few people that I've split a room with that I TALK in my sleep. Worse, they categorically refuse to tell me what I said, although given their facial expressions when they told me this bit of information, about which I was completely unaware, I've wondered to this day if I should have had them killed... :shifty:

A bummer, I was really looking forward to the move hype and sharing that weekend with some fellow Joe fans...

There's always this one: www.canadianjoecon.com : May 2nd. ;-) Still PLENTY of time to attend the other one as well........ assuming you don't have "real life" stuff on the way. :shifty:
