Early this year, I decided to make a custom for my eventual secret santa "victim", and I decided that it would be my next real Disney Joe. I had already gotten questions about when I would make a Darkwing custom, and honestly, I don't know the character. But I knew of it, and when I found some pics of him, I knew instantly how to make it.
Sadly, it took way longer to make than I had thought, for several reasons. Even when all the parts where in place, I used a long time, and I barely got it sent before it was too late. The package arrived to my victim a day before christmas.
About the composition, I found a BTR figure that I chopped up, and I liked the head. Not much needed here. Dosser pointed out that it reminded him of TF Outback, which I have used in so many customs. Interesting detail. There was really no other choices for torso (and hat), and I think it worked out well. The pants, on the other hand, I thought of for a long time. I
almost used Low Light v2, which would have worked out well, but I'm glad I ended up with the slightly slimmer SEv2 legs. I stuck to the original design, but I did not want to give him a mask, and I ended up giving him thick gloves. The mask I avoided simply because I dont think it would have looked good. Not with my skillset anyway. The gloves are ok I think, they have some sort of medival to them, which fits the character a bit. Enough with the talk..
