Early this year, I decided to make a custom for my eventual secret santa "victim", and I decided that it would be my next real Disney Joe. I had already gotten questions about when I would make a Darkwing custom, and honestly, I don't know the character. But I knew of it, and when I found some pics of him, I knew instantly how to make it.
Sadly, it took way longer to make than I had thought, for several reasons. Even when all the parts where in place, I used a long time, and I barely got it sent before it was too late. The package arrived to my victim a day before christmas.

About the composition, I found a BTR figure that I chopped up, and I liked the head. Not much needed here. Dosser pointed out that it reminded him of TF Outback, which I have used in so many customs. Interesting detail. There was really no other choices for torso (and hat), and I think it worked out well. The pants, on the other hand, I thought of for a long time. I almost used Low Light v2, which would have worked out well, but I'm glad I ended up with the slightly slimmer SEv2 legs. I stuck to the original design, but I did not want to give him a mask, and I ended up giving him thick gloves. The mask I avoided simply because I dont think it would have looked good. Not with my skillset anyway. The gloves are ok I think, they have some sort of medival to them, which fits the character a bit. Enough with the talk..

Amazing work.

The cape, especially.

Great work for one of Disney's best properties, but he really needs a Megavolt to fight.

You need a "Let's get dangerous" pose with the cape.

And the gasgun.

And Launchpad.

Wow, really nice. I think this is my favorite of the Disney customs you've done (doesn't hurt that DD is my favorite character of the ones you've done, also). The really nice thing about this one is, even if you were to take it out of the Disney-verse, I could see him as a '30's or '40's noir-ish vigilante crime fighter.

EDIT

:wow: to infinity

I <3 Soulgem

I kept pestering him to do a Darkwing Duck custom and he finally did it...

I saw the thread title and then the customizer name. I clicked the link and my jaw hit the florr
I'm looking at that torso and just feel like hitting my head against the wall. It's abso-frickin'-lutely perfect for Darkwing Duck and I just can't believe I didn't see myself.

This one is SOOOOOO chadmatted.

 to infinity

Now if he'll just do the Beagle Boys as Dreadnoks... :D

Two words, removable mask. Otherwise that is a good custom. I also agree it would be cool if he had the gas gun.

Souley g, I already told you over in chat but I'll tell you again here, that is the best Disney custom to date. Hands down my favorite, good job.

now you need a baloo the bear and and Chip n Dale

then start on a group of baddies. Like Shere Khan.

Agreed.

EDIT: Also, Dark Jedi. Please trim down those emotes. I understand that you're blown away, but all those cause the page to load very slowly. :-)

Whoa! Yeah - total win with this guy. Might be my favorite Disney custom from you yet! (and that's saying a lot.)

Your work is always great to look forward to :D Well crafted always, but so inventive! My favorites are tied between Darkwing Duck and Mickey Mouse now, just because the parts were so inventive on him ^^ Keep up the great work~!

Thanks for both good words and honest critique.

Accessories: I gave him some (Marauder uzi w/silencer and knife). I had a gasgun ready, but I decided against it in the last second. Probably because it was blue and didnt match the figure in that way.

Pose: Yup. I'm kicking myself for not posing him better for the photos. But I'll let the owner do that ;)

Next Disney-Joe: Will blow you away. ;-)
