I was making a last minute run to Target and found the large box exclusive on clearance for $44 and change. I know it may go lower because it wasn't an $0.04 ending price, but they may not last that long depending on where you are.

Do keep us informed. If it hits the low twenties and there's any left at that point, I'd be inclined to snag it for the vehicles. :-P :-D

Unfortunately they're not clearanced everywhere yet...I just got back from Target, and they were still $62.

Meanwhile, I caught the rerun of Family Guy with Cobra Commander as the head of the FCC...at the end of his scene, he jumps in a blue flight pod just like the "Cobra Commander's personal flight pod" in the battle box. I'm sure it was an unintentional homage on Hasbro's part, but still kinda cool.

Saw one for 44 something, but I though it ended in a 4 and not an 8, so I dunno. They had maybe 6. I bet they will drop more, at least at some Targets.

If they last, it'll go lower.

That's only a 30% reduction, so it's a first markdown. Still have 50% or even 75% to go . . . I know at my store we have about a dozen or so on a flat in back waiting to go out.

If they'll last until next week, they'll go lower. Right now people are buying like mad. I don't care what the news says that people aren't buying, they're going nuts throwing money away. Once Christmas is over (that goes for tomorrow, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), they'll start to back off. They'll still buy the "fill in" stuff next week, but then the following week things will get back to normal. I think come Monday though, G.I.Joe goes back into the "what's that?" catagory that parents live within. Sure they grew up around it, but they apparently flushed all child memory out long ago. G.I.Joe won't be "hot" again until the cartoon. Well that depends on Hasbro actually.

$44 is not bad. However I bet I can get one at a lower price. If they weren't all just repaints I would have gotten them. My Targets have a bunch still.

I tend to agree. I unfortunately had to do some grocery shopping Christmas Eve, and it was insane in the stores. Also, locally, every year, the charity toy drives put out this plea that they're falling short, and every year, including this one, the same thing happens -- a last minute avalanche of toys.

As to this toy set in particular, the Targets in my area have only ever set out ONE at a time, usually on an end cap with some exclusive Star Wars and Transformers stuff. I figure there's got to be more in the back.

If these things actually hang around long enough to get to 75% off, that'd be under $16. I'd actually get it for that.

Hit up 3 Targets in So Cal and they are marked down to $54 and change. What the hell? Whatever...i'll just wait it out and see if I can get one cheaper.

maybe buy one now and keep the receipt? that way if you find one lower later on, you can return "one" of them with the old receipt.

Crooked? Maybe.

yeah, but if you are going to open it anyway, open it now, return the clearance one with the old receipt.

Geez, you guys are too honest, ;)
