No holsters for pistols/knives. Ok hasbro, really? You just proved you could do this. Repeatedly. Why stop?
I am of two minds on the working holsters issue. It is a very cool feature in theory, but in practice, unfortunately it leaves a lot to be desired most of the time. What I mean is, they just don't look right. Take a look at the Wild Bill figure. Those don't look like holsters, it looks like he glued 2 big bricks to his thighs. They just look horrid on the figure, jutting out like that. Same with the Duke/Flint legs. At this scale it is hard to make working holsters look real. Even the Para-Viper, which is a total kick-ass figure, look at his knife sheath. It again looks like he glued a brick to his ankle.
There are a few figures who pull off the working holster/looking good design, such as Gold head Destro (maybe cause his gun is tiny?) or the new sculpt Barrel Roll and Gung-Ho.
That is why I don't mind Resolute Duke's design. It looks cool and real not like he strapped a toaster to his pants. Until they can consistently design realistic looking working holsters, I actually prefer this approach. Honestly, just look at Wild Bill again. His thighs are almost as wide as his shoulders!
But, I do understand that it is a cool play feature
