I look at it this way, Master Collector can exclusively produce RAH style figures, giving us new charecters with the occasional new tooling, and run the molds every so often....

or, Hasbro can go back to selling RAH figures at mass retail with stagnant product and run the molds completely into the ground, ruining them forever. Ask Funskool about how they did it to the Skystriker mold.

I love the old RAH figures, don't get me wrong, they are the bee's knees. But they don't sell as well as 25th figures, they don't generate intrest like 25th figures, and the hardcore RAH fan base just isn't big enough to support a major line with lots of new tooling. I know lots of guys who don't collect, but bought some 25th just becuse they were so cool, and as a buisness Hasbro is always looking to extend it's customer base.

It is a small market that is actually shrinking as people finish up their complete US collections or move on to the 25th style. Like Mike T said if tey had relaunched in 2000 like they did with the 25th line the community would be in a different place. ARAH figures don't have support at retail. They don't have enough support online. They don't have kid support. There isn't enough collector interest to keep them around for those who do want them. They've tried, several times, in several different ways. If Hasbro can't make money off of them, then why would they go through the trouble?

i just don't think the arah's from 2000 on have been that good.

now the new lowlight that came out, now that was cool.

i for one would be down with seeing cool repaints, like a purple falcon with white pinstripes, ripcord but in the US circa Iraq colors, and frankensteining like we do, shoot the possiblities are endless, so many fans of GI Joe grew up on arah, it just makes no sense to stop them all together.

Thier site isn't all that great. They are the ones that have the Joe Convention every summer. If you signed up for the club (paying wise and not the free version) they send you a Undertow to match the Mars set that was out a few yrs ago. Your best bet if you just want to see them is put in GI JOE convention in the search fields on ebay. If your wanting to buy them put something up in the marketplace here on the board, also try JoeArmory, http://www.yojoe.com/action/convention/ shows you the figs they've done so far. Including a Falcon. You might even join up at YoJoe and see if anyone there is selling convention figs.

there's you some on ebay.
http://www.gijoeclub.com/shop/index.cfm?do=list thats where you looked on the Club's site? They don't produce a HUGE bunch every yr. They only produce 18 to 24 figs at most a yr. 18 for the convention, 1 free figure for paying $75 a yr for a newsletter and a fig, and MAYBE they produce a couple more figs that yr as well, but like the DTC line that never got released they are charging $15 to $25 for one figure.
Hopefully that helps explain that part.

Some people that were at last yrs convention said they cut them down in price a lot at the convention. So if I was you and you were wanting these figs is try to start planning to go to the Joe Con which is only held once a yr in one location. And usually we get told less than 6 months in advance. I'm hoping to get to go this yr if my disability money comes through. Plus I wouldn't mind that Undertow figure either. The only set I'm interested in is the Mars one. Be interesting to see what they have for this yr though.

Are you talking about the RAH, New Sculpt, or 25th style Wild Weasel and AVAC? Both appered in all 3 styles.

The 25th versions. Roguetiger said that the newer releases have no problems sitting down or bending their elbows, and I'm curious as to which figures he's referring.

The newer figures out have no problems with their elbows, or being able to sit down. So please find a new arguement on that point. I've seen plenty of people showing the 25th sitting down on chairs, beds, etc. So saying they can't sit down is nonsense nowadays.

agreed, at least use the "I don't want a weird swivel wrist that makes me feel like my life blood might be dripping out."

ARAH or 25a? Hmm, I already have a head two sizes too big, so ARAH has nothing to offer me, :)

Back on topic,

Sorry, I don't think I could see investing money, then depending on the 2nd most fickle fan community in all of toys to support me.

Well my Wild Weasel sits just fine, and his arms bend just fine at the elbow, but I have yet to open any of my AVACs yet.

Yeah, my WW's joints work just fine, but rogue was saying not to whine about the 25A figures not being as well articulated because according to him that problem has been fixed. I was asking to what figures he's referring because my WW can't sit down (his belt prohibits the right leg from moving far enough) and his elbows can't bend 90 degrees like a RAH figure. Same story for my AVAC, Tele Viper, and Breaker (who quite possibly has the worst arm articulation I've seen).

Okay I get what your saying, the joints don't have a full a range of motion as the RAH figures.

I'm not all that bothered by the range of motion, but I wanted to clarify what you were saying.
