Our local Target had about 8 of them, and on one the Cobra Commander head had some major damage to it. The right side of his head had a large indentation in it and his chin on the left had one too. It looked really bad.

Also are all the Stalkers a real light brown skin tone? It looks more like a dark tan then the normal AA color that has been used.

I may pick one up, but if I miss out on this set, I will not be disappointed.

Michael

picked one up, my target raised the price to 62.99 so I ended up paying almost 70 bucks for it.

I agree on this one being good for Hasbro.

Also interesting that at least the mobat was recently used in 2003. I haven't opened mine yet, but did they modify it? And is the hiss tank the newer design or the one last used in the OCS set a few years back?

Slightly unrelated, but did the club seriously consider using the MOBAT in the Atlanta 'con set when they couldn't find Mauler parts (probably lost or mixed in with Equalizer parts somewhere)?

Is the Mobat still motorized? Or did I miss that somewhere?

Um if I'm right the Mauler wasn't lost it was broken. The turret was mold was broke and the Club didn't want to pay to have the turret fixed. Supposedly there's a Mauler coming out to TRU in a exclusive that was rumored in those lists a yr or two ago but haven't seen it yet.

Wait was it $50 before at your Target??? $62.99 is regular price everywhere else.

I can confirm that the MOBAT is, indeed, moterized. Works like a charm.

Target Raises Pricing On Ultimate Battle Packs
November 24, 2008 | 1:38 PM EST | Jayson

Watch those wallets! Target has apparently taken aim at the already inflated pricing of the 2 upcoming Ultimate Battle Packs and has raised them from $62.99 to a whopping $69.99. A local collector friend reported this morning that they increased the price at 2 of his area stores, so to confirm this I just ran to my local Target and much to my dismay the DPCI scanner revealed the $69.99 pricepoint.

This must have just happened overnight as the same store had the $62.99 cost yesterday.

So, if you managed to get yours early for the lower price congrats! Let's hope these to sets make their way to the clearance aisle sooner rather than later.

I found one this morning. Still at the $62.99 price. They had 2 sets actually but one had a sloppy paint job on Short-Fuze's hair so I grabbed the other one which only had a scrape on his neck. Totally would have snagged the other for one of you guys but I'm short on fun money until payday which may be tomorrow or Friday, not sure.

Overall, I'm impressed with the set. Haven't cracked it open yet (picked it up on the way to work) but from what I can tell it looks pretty decent.

Destro looks a lot cooler in person than in pics. Something about the way the silver gauntlets and chromed head pop off the black just looks really cool. Was going to pass this guy along as fodder but he'll look good with the other Destros I think.

Short-Fuze, like I said has a scrape on his neck that I'll have to fix. From what I hear his head sits too high on the neck anyway so some surgerating will be necessary anyway.

Stalker and Cobra Commander look nice but might end up as fodder. Not sure yet.

HISS Driver and Trooper are wicked cool. That darker red looks really good on the HISS Driver. And the gray and red on the Trooper is just subtle enough to be awesome. Might be troop building that guy.

The MOBAT is something I never had as a kid so I have no preconceived expectations or anything. If nothing else it will make a nice display piece for the O13 to form around.

The blue Flight Pod with white Cobra sigils just looks cool. Going to have to make a special place to store it on my hangar shelf.

The red HISS will look really good with my Crimson Guard squad.

All in all, for just under $70 ($68 and change w/ tax) this was a good deal I think. No buyers remorse for this one.

I'd gladly take that Stalker off your hands, if you would want to part with him.

Just got mine today and it's a wonderful, wonderful thing.

MOBAT- Okay, even the ARAH figures don't fit in this thing correctly, but it's a classic despite its flaws. It's green. Again. We haven't seen this in tan before, which would have been better than another green MOBAT, but it's still good.

FLIGHT POD- It's blue. Hard to complain about that.

HISS- Red and black. I prefer black, but Hasbro's already given us a blue Hiss and a black Hiss. Kudos to Hasbro for keeping the colors in rotation.

SHORT-FUZE- This is the figure I was looking forward to the most, so that might be the reason I'm not 100% thrilled with it. Yes, the head sits a bit too high. The biggest problems are the use of the Snake-Eyes web gear (the Dusty webgear or the Cobra Bazooka Soldier webgear would've been better) and the gloppy sun yellow paint for the hair.

STALKER- I thought Hasbro had done all it could with Stalker by now, but I was wrong. With its dark colors and corrected JUMP (it has a cord and arm control unit again), this is the best Stalker in the 25A line.

STEELER- The colors are substantially different enough from the Armadillo to appreciate it.

COBRA COMMANDER- I'm soooooo sick of this figure. However, the dark blue hasn't been used yet on this figure, so it's surprisingly tolerable- even likable.

HISS DRIVER- Looks good.

HISS GUNNER- Wow. Simple yet effective.

DESTRO- This is the big winner of the set. Everyone's saying this is tribute to Red Jackal. I think it looks better than that. Fantastic figure.

i love it , but my only complaint is it took me almost 45 minutes to open. Why is everything posed now? The only thing i would change is
Steeler to Cover Girl
CC to a Trooper,
Stalker to Grand Slam
