Yeah let's coin that a phrase shall we.

The revision cases are turing into the Mutt's and indy's around here. I really wish Hasbro would find a better way to get these out. perhaps to HTS so people can pick up older figures.

But clogging the shelves now with older product.. that hasnt moved very fast is gonna create the KOTCS effect. which is too much of the same Shi&%, at the same time brings a hault to sales.

4 cases tonight into walmart.. all of wv6R3.
nothing but the same crap that has been on the pegs here for weeks, if not months in some stores.

Am I being to cynical or does this not make more sense?

No, it makes no sense at all. And the worst part about it is that Hasbro won't just say, "oops, we screwed up, we'll not do this in the future," they just keep insisting over and over again that this was a great strategy with no problems at all. I can't wait to see how bad they screw over the Joe movie line distribution. I imagine peg after peg filled with nothing but Ripcord (...who, from all descriptions I've read, sounds like he will definitely be the Jar Jar of the Joe movie).

Hasbro does that stupid case revision all the time... put 1 or 2 new figures in with 10 old pieces that are already clogging the shelves. But, according the Hasbro, it's OUR fault the line failed (we didn't support it by buying multiple Mutt figures). And they say kids aren't interested in supporting Indy toys; but that doesn't explain why Indy Lego sets sell out constantly...

Oy, do I ever know the feeling. The local Walmart went insane ordering GI Joe comic book packs so they haven't gotten any of the new packs in for months now.

It's the darnest thing that Hasbro and the retailers just can't seem to get the supply and demand thing right any more. Either it's so little product that it draws the scalpers out of their parent's basement or it's a flood of product that even the holidays will not be able to put a dent in.

You'd almost think it was some evil plot to stop us from going to the stores and getting things from the net instead.

Hasbro, what kind of soap does one use when taking a bath in Mutt Williams figures?

You don't need soap, Mutt is already so fresh and clean it passes on to you.

Isn't this phenomenon already called the Smash Blade/Spin Blade Effect? :-)

The only reason i can see for this is becouse of the holiday shopping season, the companies are just trying to push out as much as they can for their year end sales.

push out is right, drop off a cliff is more accurate.

The Mutt Jones effect is in full effect, again.
