The helmet is about the same size as a Viper helmet. In fact, I'd say it's probably a bit too small, since I can't seem to get the helmet off mine!

Now we got a Cartoon accurate Wild Bill and Airborne - what are the chances that we'd see a reissued Dragonfly for 25A? They do have the mold (tan Dragonfly a few years back).

What do you guys think?

I'd hope the chances are quite high, considering the vehicles they've already issued :)

SO i got around to opening up an airborne today, and it has no extra articulation at the waist.

am I missing something? I was pretty sure I read about it having waist articulation.

He doesnt. People were saying that Dusty and Airborne used the same body but they are wrong.

I don't know about the dragonfly, but I have a sinking suspicion big H will try to sell the MOBILE COMMAND CENTER again, :(

Matt trakker is still fun, not sure about the collar he wears with his rig, or the fact that its the condor colors, or that he's 90% annhilator, but I still dig him.

Funny you should say that, Dave. It was your custom that began my interest in the character. You'll really dig him. Hasbro did a better then fine job on him. One of my favorites of the 25th figures.

I got my set on Friday and your right Airborne is awesome. It's nice to get a figure and not want to do any changes to it. I even thought I might want to switch out the head I used on my custom and put it on the new guy at some point but then realized how similiar the heads look. When Hasbro nails it they really do.

That's cool to that my custom got you interested in the character. Thanks! Most of the figures I really like have some attachment for me from childhood and I remember when I got them. Airborne is one of those figures. maybe because at the time he looked so different from what was released to date...I don't know but I've always thought he was a cool character that wasn't really used that much. I'm glad to see they have plans to use him in the new cartoon. Hopefully he isn' the character that gets whacked early in the series.

Tru Dat!!

I hope they don't repeat any of the Tunnel Rat and Heavy Duty nonsense from the Sigma Six cartoon. I imagine they won't since they are going for a much older audience this go around.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but can someone take pics of Airborne without his helmet (both in front and back, like they did with Scarlett)?
I always like the original Airborne head :airborne: because it most resembled me (as opposed to the actual Afr.-Amer. heads :roadblock: :roadblock2: :roadblock3: :roadblock4: :stalker: :stalker2: :stalker3: :comic_stalker: :deejay: :alpine: :bulletproof: :doc: :fridge: :staticline: :hardball: :heavyduty: :stretcher: :reddog: :balrog:).
ImageAlso, can Airborne's vest be removed? (If so, I wonder if he uses a new or existing torso.)
(I wonder if a Python Gatilho :gatilho: will be made for the "International Collection"? Then Python Copperhead will have someone else to "pal around with". :copperhead2: :gatilho: :pythonofficer: :crimsonguard2: :viper2:)

On another note, why Matt Trakker? (Is he gonna lead the mission?) Next there'll be a T-Bob figure. Or Miles Mayhem will be in charge of Cobra's Toxo-Vipers and "Venom"ized Sand Scorpions.

my wave 11 came in yesterday (ordered 2 Airbornes, 3 EELs, 1 Zartan) - one of each to keep MOC, the rest to open (already had an open Zartan).

I must admit, I'm a little lukewarm with the EEL. From the pictures his helmet looked oversized, but infact it's Airborne's helmet that's oversized. The EEL's helmet is actually very tight and snug but the rebreather is so hard that it pulls down his head with how it's shaped. I softend up the rebreather with a hair dryer but once it cools it goes back to the original position.

I knew the EEL would share Torpedo's body, but I'm not quite sold on the two knifes - he looks great posing with them, but when they're sheathed it looks weird - maybe if they would fit deeper and better it would work more. The only other annoying thing is the flippers and foot pegs, the pegs pop out very highy from the flipper hole and thus pushes his foot off the flipper peg - if you get what I mean.

Nice figure overall, but I'm not yet getting the awe-factor from my second favourite Army Builder (back in ARAH days). Maybe he'll grow on me.

Airborne's vest is, like most new tooling, a removable piece over an existing mold. In this case, it's the first Snake-Eyes torso, with new arms and legs (at least the upper legs).

Gatilho's been on my list of WIP customs since I heard Airborne was coming. Now I just need an idea for a Ripcord custom, and repeat that for Relampago, so I can make my "Hermanos Naja" figures, and complete my South American Cobra team!

Are you sure about that? Have you checked under the vest to see if there's actually a swivel there or if it's just the mid-torso joint?

YoJoe has the archive entry up for Sgt. Airborne:
