No not really, even though numerous Q&A's have asked about them Hasbro in their infinite wisdom have chosen to ignore the fans and provided us with jack.

Accessories are a big deal when playing with joes, Hasbro of the 80s realized this, unfortunately it doesn't seem like that many notes were passed down over time. Though that'd be crazy awesome if they were.

but in the spirit of Christmas, lets do the wish list thing.

So, if you worked for Hasbro and decided to do accessory pack how would you handle it?
What would be included? What would be the price point? Would it be an exclusive?

linkage to the oldschool,

http://www.yojoe.com/vehicles/86/accessorypack4/
http://www.yojoe.com/vehicles/87/accessorypack5/
http://www.yojoe.com/vehicles/88/accessorypack6/

I'll get this ball rollin

I remember buying l accessory packs for less then a figure. but i can't find the website that post what things retail price was back in the 80s so I have no idea what the old retail price was. My modern Acc. pack will most likely have more to it then an old school one so I'll bump the price point to 12 dollars even. For Hasbro's sake I'll start these as a HTS exclusive too. Or possibly the new mail in exclusive.

GI JOE
3X Gung ho back pack, OD green, Brown and Tan
2X Hawk back pack, Brown and Tan
2X Dusty back pack, OD green, and Brown

1X falcon pack with radio, Tan
1X Duke/Airborne pack, Tan

3X Og13 webgear, Od green Tan and brown
2X bazooka trooper web gear, Tan, green

4 standard helmets , Black, Brown and two Tan
2 visors black
1X bazooka helmet OD green

1X knife, falcons, black
1X Dukes over under, Tan
1X M-16 from the RAH comic packs black
1X Air Born Rifle

so as is that's just a bit more then the old acc. packs so the cost shoud be about 6 to 7 bucks like a modern Joe.

to bump it up to my price point of 12 dollars I'll also have
2 sets of gloved hands, black, grey
1 set of bare hands

3 heads, preferably all new sculpts, not necessarily any particular joe character but close enough it could be.

3 heads of previously used characters preferably with new skin tones.

So basically for twelve bucks you can solve the hasbro hates back pack problem, and get a nice bit of custom fodder, for all those LBCs that the 25th are good for. hell i'd buy this pack at 20 bucks but then it specifically has stuff i want so...

what would you do different?

i'll post my cobra pack later.

Considering the number of figures released using the Snake Eyes legs with empty empty holsters, some knives and pistols would be nice.

i wouldn't mind seeing some generic 'GI Joe' & 'Cobra' 2peg figure stands -- maybe one of each at the lower price point, 2 at the higher...

I'd actually go a different route and make them themed packs, kind of like the Episode I packs. They contained weapons and gear for the figures, but also included either scene-specific items or environment-specific items. That being said, I'd do packs that contained weapons, gear, and items specific to the mission, which would be fleshed out on a collectible filecard on the back of the card, kind of like the Sigma 6 mini figure sets.

I got your accessory packs right here!

http://www.marauderinc.com

:)

Seriouly, MJ has just about anything I would want for weapons. A lot of them are designed after the original guns. Since we have John, I really don't even desire any accessory packs. I just wish they had backpacks, I could always use more.

Yeah, I agree. I know I'm in the minority, but I'm not really interested in the possibility of accessory packs from hasbro. I like the newer accessories, but I get plenty of those with figures. If I'm going to buy accessories only, I'm going to go the Marauder route, since they are much, much higher quality than anything Hasbro offers.

Swappable hands for RB-based figs. Too bad the Duke hands are hopelessly useless.

THANK YOU! :-P

Hope the Big H continues to make wonderful figures...and we'll keep providing weapons & accessories that are not "strange colors", bendy or out of scale. :-D Our prices are low, shipping for ALL sized orders & shipped ANYWHERE is just $1.45 and EVERY joeboard member gets to pick out an additional FREE weapon to have added to their order.

Also, as many can confirm, EVERY item we've brought to the collector community has been requested BY our fellow collectors.

Think of us as "Accessory Set" site where you can customize the set of your choice! :-D

Thanks again for the support!
MJ

PS: More items (backpacks, helmets, belts, etc.) are under development and hope to be able to eventually "gun-run" those for you all, too.

I liked the idea of the accessory packs back in the day, but nowadays, the only thing I'd like to be able to get from Hasbro in an accessory set is a selection of the various web gear and belts. I really want to be able to get some of those CP Firefly flak vests in other colors. Same with both of Beach Head's vests.

I'd like to see accessory packs with stuff that was not included with figures, and stuff that can augment figures. Stuff like a proper backpack for Breaker and Tele-Viper, fixed hands for Vipers, extra knives and pistols for the empty holsters of drivers, and maybe some heads to make LBC's.
