I just spotted the new wave of SW figures at Wal-Mart and grabbed Grievous, Faie, and Stass Allie.

Grievous: Best Grievous ever...Period. Even squatting a bit he towers over the normal-sized figures. And speaking of squatting- he's got double knee joints! I didn't notice it until I started messing with one of his feet and his leg bent all the way back to his butt. Grievous, plus SHS flight stand equals a sweet Grievous jumping pose. The fun doesn't stop there. His arms can rotate at the bicep area, bend at the elbows, and rotate and raise at the shoulders. Not only that, but the arms can (in theory) snap together and retain elbow articulation. I say "in theory" because the pegs aren't long enough, and the plastic is so soft that they come right back apart. You'll need to use one of the clear rubber bands to hold his arms together if you want to keep them together. Add all that to a torso joint, wrist cuts, ball jointed ankles, ball/socket neck, and a cool paint job, and you have the best Grievous ever, like I mentioned above. The only hit he takes is in the hips. Ball/socket hips would have put this one over the top.

Faie: I like the head sculpt a lot. It gives him a little more individuality in a sea of clones. I'm trying to decide which I like more, Commander Keller's softgoods hood or Faie's sculpted hood. Both have strengths and weaknesses, but both look awesome, so... The only hit he takes is in the sewing of the softgoods parka. It's kind of sloppy in the midsection.

Stass: More articulation than I thought! I don't get to Rebelscum as much as I like, so I'm not really up-to-date on the reviews, or really what new figures are coming up, so the full articulation was a surprise. She's got all the current standard articulation, minus the ab joint. I'm not sure if she borrows a previous mold, but her left hand is in a "force grab" pose, almost looking like a "force choke". I'm just happy to finally have a fully articulated version of this character. My speeder bike version looked lame with the other Jedi and Sith on my shelf. Her only hit is the way she's packaged. They pushed her robe through a couple of holes in the tray, which left a circle mark on both sides of the robe.

I'll get some pics up tomorrow for those wanting to see Grievous in action.

That Stormtrooper head would make a great Mercer custom.
