So, I finally found the newest DVD packs at retail, and I have a question about the Pyramid of Darkness cube. What is it supposed to do? I mean, it has a peg inside of it and really looks like it should attach to something. I sort of fits onto the tread section of the MASS device, but not really. Am I missing something?

I've seen that asked a couple of times, myself included, and I haven't seen a reason given.

I think I read somewhere that its supposed to fit on the end of the MASS Device once we get that final piece in place of the crystal. But until that piece comes out who knows.

It does look like its supposed to plug into something though. Maybe we have a Cobra satellite BAProp coming soon?

Glad I'm not the only one wondering this. It doesn't appear on the blueprints either.

I said it in the DVD pack review thread, and I'll say it here, I think that it's meant to sit on the tread assembly for the MASS. The peg fits perfectly and the cube sits in there nicely. Does it make sense, not at all, but it certainly fits together like it's meant to. I also think it might be able to replace the crystal once we get the final MASS piece.

I've heard that they were used in the MASS Device series as stand alone things. Control Cubes placed in various parts of the world. Someone said if you watch it you'll understand and that it actually isnt supposed to go on the device itself.

It's all hear-say though.

I would believe that if it weren't for the cube's peg connector. There's no reason for it to be there and not have it intended to connect to something.

Maybe Hasbro chose to make each of the five build-a-parts of the MASS device more playable as stand-alones?

The only support I have for this is the first two parts:

Part 1: Control console. Playable by itself as a console.
Part 2: The back housing. By itself, useless, but the Weather Dominator fits on top!
Part 3: The treads: Adding the cube gives the treads something to haul.

:rotfl:

Sorry, I thought you were serious. Hasbro? Be logical like that?

It does make sense though I doubt it was a conscious effort. More like one of those happy accidents that Bob Ross always talked about.

The control cubes were carried to their positions by tank treds similar to the ones on the MASS device - except larger scale, and of course the cubes themselves were gigantic.

As for the toys, you can attach the tiny cube to the MASS trends to "recreate" the idea that was shown in the cartoon - obviously way out of scale.

I vote for a picture of Scramble wearing the cube on his head as a hat.

I vote for any picture of the cubes, period. I have yet to see what these things look like.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Seriously, the cube on treads theory makes the most sense. Its one of those things that probably was planned but left out of the instructions so as not to confuse the kids. "Daddy, if the purple box goes on the wheels then how does the silver box go on there?"

wow, I had no idea, I just figured hasbro forgot to back the six side of the cube and that is where it would have attached, lol.

See, you guys are using your brains, I was just defaulting to big H has not quality control, :)
