I just came from TRU, our's actually had them too.

I found 1 "Red", 1 Liz, 1 Johann, and 2 Winks on the peg. I was looking for 2 "Reds" so I figured I was half way there. Then I wandered over to the Joe isle, where I found a second "Red" figure just sitting on top of some Joe battle packs. I figured "SCORE".

Then I noticed he was different...

Apparently there is a variant "Red" figure that is different from the boxed set / standard single pack version. He still has his coat on, and his right hand is in a fist. But he also has his black shirt on, under the coat, and his mouth is closed. No cigar though, so this is a completely different head mold from the other two already released. Different than the boxed set and SDCC versions.

I don't know if there are any other variant figures or not, but the rest I saw today were identical to the boxed set versions.

I went to my local TRU today and nothing, they didn't even have them listed for the pegs, bummer, maybe next week. :-/

I cracked open my box set and found a broken leg on Johann. It cracked right at the ball joint on the left hip. I figure I'll just drill into the ball and drill into the hip/crotch and glue a peg in there. That should fix the problem, but still that sucks to open a package and find that.

That sucks, but you could simply buy another Johann single fig and use your broken one for custom fodder. :-/

saw the singles at TRU today and got Red. They had both, but I got the closed mouth one. Not too damn bad for $8 IMO.

Liftoff found me Wink and Johann a couple days ago, mucho gracias amigo. Very nice figs overall, altho I'd prefer wider ranges of motion in the hips, and they really should've sculpted Johann's kneepads as a solid piece that stayed at the top of his calf as the knee is bent. It also would be nice to be able to swap Wink's hands out so one could have either open or fisted hand in either socketed or chained-out positions. I'm gonna give that a try, but it's a biatch getting his fisted hand off the chain and I've no idea where I'll get a 4th ball to go at the end of the chain.

Went to my local TRU where they had, as usual, nothing I wanted. Seeing as all they had HB related was 6 of the 6" figs, and all of them of HB himself; I rather doubt they'll be getting any of the good figs in.

I really hope the second wave makes it out as I simply *MUST* have a proper Elric of Melnibone fig, dammit!

The break in the middle of the kneepad on Johann is movie accurate, watch when he's introduced, it's very clear there. I'm just waiting on some extra money to pick these up, but they look very nice.

Hmm, good eye, Hypno. It does indeed look like he's got bifurcated kneepads for some reason. Still, it doesn't come off very nicely on the fig, imho.

Found a set of 4 at my TRU.... Not sure if it was one or 2 cases...but man they're over packing Wink...that really surprises me especially since he's the biggest of all the figs.

What's the ETA on wave 2?

I was at my local TRU today and they still don't have them, this is starting to be ridiculous, oh on a side note, this makes it a month that they haven't restocked Joes either, every week i ask, same with the HB figs. :-/

I snagged all 4 of them this afternoon. They had both HB variants, but I chose the shirted one with the closed mouth as I figure that one'd look better chilling in my Cantina.

I don't think so. Wink seems to be a very popular figure.
The cases are 6 figures per, the breakdown is:

1: Standard Hellboy
1: Variant Hellboy (w/shirt)
1: Liz
1: Johann
2: Wink

ToysRUs.com started with 58 cases of figures. That was:

116 Hellboy (total)
116 Wink
58 Liz
58 Johann

They are currently at:

88 Hellboy
36 Wink
43 Liz
53 Johann

They have sold through 80 Wink figures in the 2 weeks (or so) that they have had them available online. Far more than even Hellboy.

The question has also been asked over at the Mezco forums. So far no answer.

I finally found these today and tey are really nice. I have no interest in the movie but I do like the look of the characters. Saw everyone but Hellboy. I'll probably use Johann as a background character inmy Star Wars cantina and Wink makes a nice stand-in for the mutated Nelvaan warriors from the first Clone wars cartoon series. Not sure what I'll do with Liz yet. Her legs are really warped from the package - does the boiling water method fix them?
