Alley-Vipers.... awesome...

Then again, I've never seen a BAT on the shelves, so I shouldn't plan to get any of these.

80's figs in Movie atire? kinda sounds interesting... a modernized RAH?

Don't get too excited there. It says, "With the release of the 2009 movie you will see many of your favorite 1980's characters in movie styling..."

Characters, not figures. All this means is "Here are the movie versions of Duke, Snake-Eyes, Baroness, etc." Hasbro seems extremely committed to the 25th-style figure format and I would expect this movie line to adhere to that.

"Newly tooled vehicles" could be cool, but this might be nothing more than just replacement parts to complete a given existing set of molds. Then again, if it's an interesting vehicle that hasn't seen the light of day in 20 years and one's existing version of it has somehow been damaged or whatever, hey, nothing to gripe about there.

Tunnel Rat, Alley Viper, Recondo & Shockwave.

After those come out I think I can stop collecting.

After the really bad news that Transformers Universe/Classics were getting shafted so everything could go movie all over again this is a bright spot of news that at least GI Joe will still offer up the style of figures I'm looking for.

Should prove a pretty interesting period being able to chose between classic, net toon, and movie Joes. Ha ha, maybe it's a good thing other toy lines aren't getting as much of my hobby money next year.

For sure, the Joes are already hitting the wallet hard, add those others (And the DC Infinite Heroes, yes I collect them too!) and I'll have to do more shows* just to afford them!

*Be sure to see my booth at the Iowa Comic Book Club Mini-Con on Noevember 2 at the Stoney Creek Inn! Yet another shameless plug! You know you want to buy my Gold SDCC Destro!

The hisstank Q and A confirms Chuckles as well. So yeah, I'm excited. The Night Creeper has been something I've wanted in 25th format for awhile now and Recondo and Mindbender are way overdue.

Now, what do you guys think, is the inclusion of Tunnel Rat and Alpine (who we already knew were coming) on this list mean that single carded versions are planned, or is it just a matter of the press department and the sales department being on slightly different timeframes and TR and Alpine will only be in the box sets for now? Because I might skip the second Joe 5 pack set if TR will be available single carded. I'd like to skip the "Best of" DVD pack, since I mostly want Alpine, but the MASS piece and that Cobra Commander have me suckered in anyway.

One last edit:

Just realized that if the wave 13 lineup doesn't change (Blowtorch), and if this Thunder is legit http://www.hisstank.com/gi-joe-news/att ... entid=2564 we're only Cover Girl and Ripcord away from having 82-84 in 25th format.

I hope we get a single carded Night Creeper in addition to the leaked/rumored comic 2-pack figure.

Even though I already took those Walmart lists as confirmation for some of those. :-D
The club got a couple of good ones! A Python Patrol vehicle! Plus more Tiger Force!
Code:
GIJCC Question 3: How about making Cobra: Python Patrol vehicles?
Hasbro Answers: We have one on tap in spring 2009.

GIJCC Question 4: Now that we have the two leaders, do you have any plans to complete the G.I. Joe: Tiger Force team?
Hasbro Answers: You may see one or two more, but no plans to release the whole team.

Plus has anyone noticed how they are now calling the figures 'classics'. Kind of like the Transformer ones. ;-)
