Hey guys, I'm back.
We're talking '84 and the Joes got more reinforcements.
Let everyone know what figure you like best (and please explain why)!

Hard one. I went with Roadblock, mainly because he was a remarkable character in the Marvel comics. The figure actually doesn't do him justice, since it's very slight in build - the exact oposite of what Roadblock looked like in the comics.
Never the less, it's still one of my all time favourite figures, and was always the big hero in my playing. I never owned the 84 model, but I wore out two TF-RBs back when I was a kid.

I'm basing this off the figure. He was an eye sore sure with those colors, but there was tons of tv promos that made me want this figure even more. That commercial that aired showing him, Recondo, and I think it was one of those smaller sets? He had a face mask that plugged into his chest and all the head gear was able to come off. That was a big deal back then.

None really stand out here, but I'll go with Mutt because he has a doggie :-P

I figured Duke would be too obvious, but no one else chose him either. I went with Cutter. The first and only Coast Guardsman for the Joe Team, and he came with the WHALE Hovercraft, at that point the largest G.I.Joe item ever produced. Granted it'd get the heck trumped out of it next year by the Flagg.

Roadblock's a favorite character, but if we're basing on figures, his 1992 incarnation was better than either 1984 or 1986.

Easily Ripcord. Not only was the figure itself chock full of sweetness (classic weapon, great accessories), but I loved the characterization fleshed out by Hama & Whigham back in the Marvel run around issues 37-ish to 50. Why a Zartan vs. Ripcord comic pack has not been done yet is beyond me....

Mutt for me too, also because of the Junkyard and the accesoires.
Recondo is a really close second.

Mutt.

- he came with a dog.
- add some weapons and computer related stuff to the filecard and you basically have me...

So much, that I bought a 2nd mutt at a yard sale when I was younger, because Junkyard "runn oft". Now, I have a display on my bedroom wall...

Wow. I'm shocked Roadblock isn't doing better.

Mutt & Junkyard are the winners with a difference of only two votes.
