Just today I stopped at a couple Targets and a Walmart on my way to work. At each one I saw something I had never seen before today - returns missing accessories. At the first Target I found a Rock n Roll sans webgear - everything else was there and the bubble was sort of neatly glued back top the card. Next stop at another Target and saw a comic pack with Breaker missing his backback and headgear, again resealed. At Walmart, I saw the Duke/Red Star comic pack with just Duke's webgear missing. Very strange to see this all in one day when I've never encountered it before. And the truly odd thing is these stores are spread out over a 20 mile area in 2 counties, so I doubt its the same person doing it all - unless its my evil alter-ego.

How sad that someone is stealing for customizing fodder.

You could kind of account for the Breaker gear being missing, seeing as how he just came out with the vehicle pack minus his gear. The person probably didn't want the repaint Destro, and the Breaker is the same. The others sound like custom fodder to me. Weird to go through so much trouble though.

It is happening everywhere. One thing you can do is report it to the Manager or Customer Service. Some stores could careless, but some might start to catch it. I reported some items at a Wal-Mart that I noticed that happening and they put a stop to it, which doesn't hurt the flow of new stuff in my area any more at least in Wal-Mart.

Yeah. I get all excited when I see Joes in a store, and they are almost always returns with a different figure, or sans webgear/ accessories. Another reason to shop online.
