I don't own one but I've been wanting one since the Crimson Strike Convention. I realy don't want to pay more than 20 bucks for one. I think I've tried to bid on about 40 or so over the pat few years seems all of the auctions I'm envoled in go past $60. Then the Dtc hiss came out and sort of forgot about wanting since the dtc hiss seems to fill the same roll as the IFV for Cobra. To those who own one is it worth over $40? Do you think Hasbro will produce one in the new line?

its a great tank,.. its probably worth the 40 bucks, but I would search around a bit more. Ive won ebay lots with hiss 1-2 and 3 for 40 bucks. I just won 2 original hiss tanks for 6 dollars! So,.. if you poke around a bit, you may end up finding it.

as for a re-relaease, Im not sure, the club has control over the molds for right now, but that could change in a heartbeat.

Are you sure about that? I would think that once they were done with it, it would have gone back to the mother ship... If you ARE correct, and the reason fandom at large has NOT had a Hiss 2 re-issue at mass retail because the club had a strangle hold on the mold... Well that would be a travesty beyond words. And justice would be screaming for vengeance.

As to the Hiss 2 - it's great. It's what H should have been pumping out instead of Hiss 1/3s for the last decade. If they had fancied that up in black... Oy. You can get them for less than $40 I think, if you can live without the seat belts. The way I got mine for cheap was in vehicle lots where I then liquidated the stuff I didn't need. But that can be a pain these days what with eBay signing a deal with the devils.

So very MFing this. The II and the DTC are the only HISSes I think are worth anything at all. The v1 mold is so damned lame and tired and played out I've actually avoided getting a RipIt fig because I just don't want to have to make the effort to throw the lame, tired, and played out HISS he comes with away.

I've got 3 each of the II and DTC; and have painted one of the IIs in the traditional black. It whups ass all over any version of the I mold in every department except the over-rated nostalgia factor. Nostalgia may make you feel warm and fuzzy inside remembering the happiness you had as a kid; but it don't give you a kick-ass collection of kick-ass toys.

Are there pictures of that anywhere? I wouldn't mind seeing that.

Wow! $60 for a Hiss II? Maybe I'll sell mine.

Beefy, more powerful weaponry, and a troop compartment--it's better than the original Hiss in every way. But $60? I don't think I'd pay a dollar over $30. Maybe I'm just a cheap ass, but for $60, that thing better be case fresh.

My guess is that it's only a matter of time before Hasbro re-releases this vehicle, and probably in a better color scheme. The only question is when and if you can hold out until then.

Actually, asking about a HISS II re-release would be a good Hasbro Q&A question. If anything, maybe it would put the bug in their ear.

check online now. I saw a Hiss II auction for just 10 bucks. the do pop up from time to time. I have three myself (and Im thinking about bdding for a 4th, if you know what I mean,...)

I agree with Ardien, the II and the IV are the best Hiss versions made, Sadly, i only have one IV (will soon get more come payday...)

I presume you're talking about my black II? There's a couple pics of it in my Interrogator fig's page from a few years back. I painted the II like some 15 years ago, sometime in the first half of the '90s.

well,... you just convinced me to buy a can of Black paint.

I wonder if black paint could save the Hiss III...

I think the only hope for the hiss 3 and definitely the hiss 4 is to try and recycle the plastic.

The hiss 2 is bar none the best tank in the cobra legions. I got one of darko some time back and I dig it the most, I wish it could hold six troops instead of four, but otherwise, its freakin awesome, bigger guns, two drivers and the ability to have a hit team pop out, what more could you ask?

I've been wanting a HISS II release for a long while now. I actually don't understand why it hasn't been done already outside the MC club.

I've never seen them go for that high, usually $10-20 complete. Of course, I've only really looked at them whenever I'm getting ready to sell one myself. Sorry, the HISS II just does not seem to be a high demand vehicle. And the black paint almost cancels out the ridiculous "tri-gun". If they released a HISS II mold with a HISS I turret, or a DTC HISS with a HISS I turret, I think then we might have an excellent HISS, especially if it was in Cobra blue or black. Like I said, that black HISS II looks really good, I might have to get out some paint too!
