I thought that this would be a no-brainer, with Destro taking my vote, and IG coming in close second. They have simply awesome sculpts. But then I saw that both Secto Viper and Astro Viper also were included in this year. Had to go with Astro Viper, my favourite army builder. Good sculpt. Sci-fi looking helmet, and great great card art!

The IG never did it for me, and I always prefered v1 Destro to the caped v2.

So I went with... Secto Viper

Ah yes, a more refined Destro got my vote. Shirt buttoned up, an off-shoulder cape, a sword and a touch of gold. Everyone knows that only international villains with gold-themed accessories get respect. I mean, have you ever heard of The Man WIth The Silver Gun or Silver-Finger? Boom, there you go.

I went with Destro. A nice update of v1, without being too different. You can still tell that it's Destro

I ultimately had to go with the Iron Grenadier. Not too tough a choice. A whole new enemy force, and this was the "basic infantry" of it, and a darn cool design.

A close second for me would've been Destro, really the only other truly impressive Destro in the entire line other than the 1983 version. And he was the proper height, as well.

None of the Cobras on the year really caught my attention that much except for the Secto-Viper, the driver of the Cobra BUGG, itself an impressive vehicle. I liked the transparent helmet, and the yellow and black uniform combo seemed to work well for some reason. The Star-Viper was also a cool design, and I liked the code-name.

Uh, ok, I'll respect your opinion.
But can you tell me how you dislike for example the Iron Grenadier, Hydro-Viper or Road Pig? I'm curious about that.

I also picked the Iron Grenadier. I love his sculpt,his colors-menacing and ceremonial!, and his equipment. He is simply a great new enemy for both GI Joe and Cobra.

Second choice would be Destro v.2. He's awesome,IMHO much cooler than v.1 and in second place solely because I prefer army-builders to characters when it comes to bad-guys.

1. Iron Grenadiers. Because of his looks and that uzi.
2. Road Pig. To me he is the toughest of the Dreadnoks.
3. Hydro Viper. Great mask, realistic backpack and harpoon. I never got an Eel, so he was my #1 Cobra diver.

To me this was between the Iron grenadiers and Road Pig but it was Road Pigs characterizations in both the comic and the cartoon which pushed me over.

Road Pig = Last cool Dreadnok/ with Hammer

I also went with Road-Pig. in 1988 Cobra got a slew of specialty vipers, and the IG subset was also added, but personally Road Pig had a really cool toy sculpt and characterization.

I voted for the Astro-viper because when I was a kid, I thought the things on his legs made him run super fast and jump super high. His jetpack and helmet were cool too.
