I have a bigger lie for you from HTS.

SHIPPING TO CANADA.

It was supposed to start in the late spring... it's now the end of summer / early fall.

Still not able to order from it - if you're in Canada.

Well shippings not the problem. There is just no ordering in Canada. ;-)

Seriously that sucks

Well, they're sort of "lying" to me. I pre-ordered the 2 DVD Battles sets back in April and now my order status is 'Partially Shipped'

But when I actually look at the order, the status of each set says 'Not Shipped' :-|

No big deal really, as I've previously received shipping confirmation e-mails from them after I had already received my order 8-O ;-)

Well their order status thing was messed up the last time they 'updated' something. All my old pre-orders are now shipped.
Ironically TF Flint & PP Officer, the 2 I found at KMart are still backordered.
What else did you order with the 2 DVD packs? I just cancelled my DVD sets. My other orders had a 'not shipped' status just before I got the email saying they shipped.

I only pre-ordered the DVD sets. I'm only interested in the MASS Device & Weather Dominator playsets

I got the shipping confirmation e-mail today, the same day they said they'd be in stock

And it arrived today. It wasn't from the usual address in Harrisburg, PA with the regular HTS logo address label

Not only that, but the invoice said that my order was charged to PayPal and the total was also wrong. So I'll see if it was just an error on their part once I get my credit card bill

Guess this is related

Here's what I hate about HTS.
Their tracking number seems worthless before the item arrives. I get a tracking number with an email on the 26th saying my order has shipped. Nothing appeared when I did a search of that number. Today I get a result:

Quote:
Electronic Shipping Info Received
The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on September 3, 2008 to expect your package for mailing

In other words HTS charged me, put my stuff in a box. Sent me a notice its on its way when in all likely hood it is still in their warehouse. Then days later they sent an email to the post office. Here I am thinking it was in transit for a few days only to find it hasn't moved at all. Don't be going and giving out shipping notices till things actually trade hands.

The reason their shipping numbers don't work to begin with is because they initially use Fed Ex to ship the packages to your Post office, then once your post office has it, you will get the notice that you got about being notified. All that means is that your package arrived from Fed Ex to you post office and your post office reprints a delivery label. If you want to check the true shipping of your item use the following link and put your tracking number in there.

https://spportal.fedex.com/sp/track

Theres a good chance your package is only a day or 2 away from you depending on how long your post office takes to get it to you.

I was singing their praises earlier, but then I received my Barbecue, which I am adding to my modest MOC collection and there is a pen mark across the filecard! Nit-picky, but still!

Weak, Hasbro Toy Shop. Very weak.

I'm going to defend HTS on this point here. This is actually the fault of the USPS, not HTS. The Electronic Shipping Info Received message is an automatic message you get with the tracking number once you print up your postage, if you are doing the "print your own" postage, such as Stamps.com or PayPal shipping. The real fault is USPS hardly ever scans the items until delivery is made, that is why there is no further updates usually, until after delivery. I have this same problem ALL of the time, anything I drop off at the post office is never scanned. It might get scanned once or twice along the way (but usually not) but is almost always scanned upon delivery. Funny thing, if my local mailman picks up my packages (instead of me dropping them at the post office) he usually will scan them. That is the only time I get an origination scan. Seriously, well under 5% of my packages get a scan while enroute, so if there are no scans, there is no tracking info. USPS leaves a LOT to be desired for detailed tracking info, especially compared to FedEx or UPS.

Sorry, the tracking dilemma is 100% USPS' fault, not HTS. I'm speaking from several thousand packages of shipping experience.
