Here's 1987!
Figures from Battleforce 2000 are not in.
Let everyone know what figure you like best (and please explain why)!

For me it was Outback - I always liked him (even the 100% one from Argentina!). While in 1987 Hasbro started to head more into the sci-fi direction with the characters/figures he was one of the few that kept that bit of realisim.

I don't know much about the army but from the movies I've watched I always see recruits training in white T-shirts and green BDUs ~ so Outback's colours were very complimentary. Other asthetics I found cool were the "SURVIVAL" written across his barrel chest and his head band.

There was a show on TV circa 1987 called Gillette World Sports Special that had a continuos segment named Survivor (can't find website reference - anyone remember this?), and had individuals pitted against one another on a gigantic wilderness obstacle course. I like playing that with my joes in the garden, when I wasn't playing Joe vs Cobra, and Outback was always involved (I think because of the "SURVIVAL" on his shirt).

I loved his accessories too, he came with a huge backpack, his gun was pretty slick and was one of the few that came with an awesome strap, and finally his flashlight was very neat (and easily lost!).

Great looking figure, great backstory.

I voted for Falcon because he was one of my favorites as a kid.
His whole gear felt pretty realistic and cool.

A close seconds would be Tunnel Rat and Outback

None of these are any of my overall favorites, but it came down to Outback & Tunnel Rat.

This being a poll on JC, I had to go with Outback (since he offered up his body to make v1 Big Brawler) 8-O

Too hard. All of these are absolute amazing figures. Went with Fast Draw.

The '87 Falcon figure was everything awesome a Joe figure could be. Realisitc sculpt, real-world weapons (that shotgun handle was practically shredded from over-use by my Joes!) and accessories, and awesome bio---as long as you ditch the horrible, horrible cartoon movie characterization.

Runners-up would be Tunnel-Rat/Larry Hama and Fast Draw/How-Do-You-Remain-Standing-After-Firing-Two-Missiles-From-Your-Backpack.

I had to go with Tunnel Rat. Ever since I picked that figure up at a yard sale when I was little, I've loved the figure and character. I've since replaced it with a figure that's actually in good condition and actually has his accessories, which make the figure even cool. I love that rifle.

I always appreciated realism and as a kid I though Tunnel Rat looked more realistic, It is also why outback and falcon were 2 and 3, but the giant rucksack and cool flashlight won me over. If nothing else I like the Gun too!

This one was tough, but I ultimately went with Payload just because I'd been hoping for a really good Astronaut to join the line for years, and he made the grade admirably.

A VERY close second for me is Lt. Falcon. Okay, he was a screw-up in the movie, but as a toy, he was a Green Beret, certainly a well-regarded military type, and the figure looked excellent, as well as nicely military in a line that was getting increasingly -- varied, something that some collectors (generally not myself) had a problem with.

Marine Dress Blues Gung-Ho was cool, but didn't exactly look ready for battle dressed like that.

Outback and Tunnel Rat were also cool figures on the year, as was Jinx.

Really, there weren't any losers in the Joe ranks on the year, although Chuckles' code name and shirt was a bit of a stretch.

I am a Grade A Certified Outback fanboy. He's pretty much the coolest character ever.

This is a tough year. naturally I liked Law and order due to their MOS, but always disliked them because I saw them as replacing Mutt and junks. I like all the paratroops in the line and crazylegs, even though his colors are a bit out there is my fav paratroop sculpt. So my pick is Falcon, great sculpt, great weapons not much to dislike about this fig at all. He quickly took the place of duke and flint as field commander on all my missions. One fig that I als like alot from this year that I think is very underated is steam roller.

No Big Lob? BAH!!!! I Hated 1987!

That being said it was a Tie between Jinx (female ninja!!!) and Law (cause he had a Dog,.. and his Audios, Audios, Audios, line in the Movie)

this was also the year I got into the comics.

This was a hard choice. I was torn between 4 figures for this year: Chuckles, Jinx, Law and Tunnel Rat.

In the end I voted for Chuckles, because there is something very Jack Lord/Steve McGarrett about that figure and I have always loved Hawaii 5-0. He onlly just edged Tunnel Rat into second place with me.

Tunnelrat!
I mean, army colours, bandana, camo-stripes on his face and arms, nice backpack and gun and the bag of TNT to blow stuff up! In my battles he often sneaked into Cobra camp and ushered in a Joe attack by blowing something up.

2nd place is Falcon. I certainly didn't use him as they did in The Movie!
3rd place is shared by Mercer, Red Dog and Taurus.

I really like Mercer. Cool concept and look. Though this year is really a tough choice for me as I like them all! But yeah I went Mercer bearly edging out Falcon. And I never, ever use the cartoon style of Falcon, that one just wrecks the character.
