Serpentor's never had a lot of appeal for me, but this figure looks just as Richard Simmons as every other Serpentor ever made, so I don't know why anyone is surprised.

As for the non-articulation on Attila the Hun- how many points of articulation does a corpse need anyway? If this were a zombie toy line, I'd understand the frustration. ;-)

what exactly was the problem with the Dusty figure shown at the Joe Con? Why did some "intelligent" designer at Hasbro get the "brilliant" idea to change his camo pattern, paint his face differently, and give him a dark brown cloth?

He was damn near perfect at the Joe con, now...not so much.

Indeed, heck if they were going to change him I would have liked a cartoon colored version. :dusty:
:serpentor: I think Serpentor just needs his eyebrows repainted to something not resembling a surprised or worried look. I guess the yellow they were trying for would be the cartoon one?
My Atilla corpse will be up for trade when I get this set too. I would have liked Dr. Mindbender instead of this.

Because they already have the mold for the sucks-ass version. They will try to milk as much money as possible from this version before giving us a resculpt. Let's face it, he will never be a 'seller' like Duke, Snake Eyes and CC.

Can't say that I am excited about this set. The Serpentor is a version I am not interested in. If I want a BAT, I will pick up the single carded version. I can also see both sides of teh argument on the skeleton articulation. Would have been nice to get a fully articulated skeleton that we could get the accessories and armour off, but where would it fit in with the line? Again I agree, I would have bought this set if Mindbender had been in it. As it is, it is a big pass for me.

Sad, but very true.

I would've even been happy with the re-use of the mold if they had done a few things better with it. Gold with the yellow "belly", instead of that horrid yellowish color they used, solid green boots instead of that odd painting they did on them, green snake harness instead of gold, and add a new snake shaped belt to replace that waist cape.

Those little differences would've made a world of difference, and would've secured this as an item I would buy.

Hell I would've even liked the use of the Tomax & Xamot thighs, with the snakes painted green.

Well first off, I think if they're going to replace a figure in the DVD packs with something else, they should replace it with something more than just a non-mobile brick. Second, having at least some level of articulation and/or the ability to remove the armor would make the skeleton good dio fodder at least, so it could be posed on the ground in a battlefield dio or something.

Also, I'm going to question why the skeleton is Attila the Hun. It's been awhile since I saw the Arise, Serpentor, Arise mini-series, but I don't remember them showing the capture of Attila's DNA (I think I remember them listing it off along with Julius Caesar in the "while we were on other missions, Cobra captured..." scene). Not a big deal, I'm just wondering why it isn't Montezuma, Vlad Tepes or one of the corpses that they *did* show in the mini-series.

The problem I have always had with Serpy's DNA mix is that while most of the other's tombs are lost and could possibly be found, Julius Caesar was cremated in the Roman fashion. Bit difficult to get DNA from ashes.

There's usually bone fragments left over, after cremation, that are then crushed up, and mixed with the ashes. They probably got the DNA from those bone fragments.

Not that 2000 year old burnt bones are likely to provide any viable DNA. But, you know, cartoon physics....
