1985. A lot of nice figures so choosing the one favorite will be tough.
Let everyone know what figure you like best (and please explain why)!

Shipwreck for me. He was the first Joe member that ended up in our house via as my brother's X-mas present in 1985.

I went with Snake-Eyes, barely, because that figure was so incredibly awesome back then.

Airtight was a very close second.

Easily Snake Eyes. Best. Version. Ever.

Second would have went to Crankcase for me. Simple, realisitic design. Awesome weapon too.

I just realize that I didn't have any of the 1985 Joes as a kid, only Cobras...

I voted for Snake Eyes. I wanted one so much as a kid and I never could find one...
Today I have two, so nyah!

Toughest poll so far. I went with Shipwreck since I didn't have a Snake Eyes back in the day

I went with another non-obvious one and chose Dusty, mostly because, living in Arizona, I felt that a desert trooper was long overdue.

But really, the whole 1985 lineup was pretty impressive. I almost went with Keel-Haul, just because of what he came with. :-D

From top to bottom, I think the '85 lineup is the best ever offered in the line. There's just so much good stuff in there. If I could only have figures from one year, '85 would probably be my choice. That said, it's a somewhat tough call. The Snake Eyes figure is only version I associate with the character and its lone use gives it additional relevance over the other versions of the character. But, in end, I had to go with Flint. Flint is Joe to me and he personifies everything I like about the line. He's also a figure I simply can't get enough of. I have at least 5 complete vintage versions, well over half a dozen Funskool figures interspersed with the variants and carded versions as well as the Brazilian version. It's the flagship figure of my collection.

Tollbooth definitely sticks out head shoulders & sledgehammer above the rest of '85. They should have focused the line around him.

I went alpine on this one. I honestly really don't like this year for joes at all. 8-O
I think 84 kills it and 86 is better as well. I chose alpine maily base on his weapons, snake eyes was a close second ( although I dislike the character I like his v2 fig )

If I had only one year to pick from, it'd be '83.

But it's still too bad I couldn't vote for more than just Al Pine.

Snake Eyes was the obvious choice.

I would've picked Dusty, but I have a stigmatism against him. He was the first "thing" I stole from a store,... and didn't feed all that proud about it. My Father (who was a detective) figured it out, and made me go back to the store and apologise, and repay for the figure with my allowance. So I wasnt really a fan of him,.. he reminds me of my shame...

So many good figures! Quick Kick, Shipwreck, Snake Eyes, Flint, all the vehicle drivers etc.. All with far better sculpt than the previous years, and all with pretty good accessories.
I went with Lady Jaye, not only cause I love that figure - the colors, the slight arms, the face sculpt and the capera, but for the fact that is the first Joe to appear in the Norwegian comics, "Action Force #1" in 1988 (your #44 or something. The one where she kicks some BAT ass).
Also I still have my Lady Jaye figure from when I was a kid, and it's still almost flawless.

gotta b snakes, although I never did like the lips on his mask. This is without a doubt the best year for Joes ever though, and it was a really tough decision. Flint and alpine are still two of my favorite figure(Alpine mostly because of his awesome accessories- that Beretta smg was used by alot of Joes and became my Fav gun after the Uzi).
