According to sources at Hasbro, the current release plan look something like this...

Wave 1

* Spider-man

* Punisher

* Iron Man

* Silver Surfer

Wave 1.5

* Black Panther

* Wolverine (X-Force)

* Bullseye

* Daredevil

* Stealth Armor Iron Man

* Human Torch (Flames)

* Human Torch (F4 costume)

Wave 2

* Hulk (Green)

* Hulk (Gray)

* Goblin

* Ronin

* Captain America

* Iron Fist

More figures are planned, though release dates and additional information - including specific retail prices - were unavailable.

The line, which will feature a bookshelf "numbering" packaging system allowing fans and collectors who prefer to display their figures mint in box to show off the completeness of their series, will feature multiple points of articulation - including head/neck, shoulders, biceps, elbows, wrists/forearms, chest/waist, hip, knee, and ankle - as well as character-specific accessories.

Cool line up, but where's Fury? Shouldn't he be in the first wave?
Will we get a winged mask Captain America too?

Fury's the mail away figure.

I'm sure we'll get winged Cap eventually.

How sure of that are we? Since the card back says 'Become a SHIELD Agent', I'd think the mailaway would be the SHIELD Agent.

Si, senor. It's a dumb name and a dumb identity for Clint, tho. I've been thinking of just using him as the Black Dragon leader and giving him a trio of NinjaKu figs to boss around. Despite what Liftoff thinks, you can't have too many ninja factions running around the world because you can't ever have too many ninja to kill.

/At least, that's what Wolverine told me.

"Fury is the mail away figure"
Hasbro said it at the panel.

I'd assume he either comes with the extra generic head to get people to order more of him or the Shield Agent figure will be available somewhere else.

The whole "Become a Shield Agent!" is part of the online component they are building. That a was a big part of the presentation.

Well that sounds dumb. Sell Fury on a single card then have the Agent be the mailaway for $6 each and rake in the cash. I'd think more people will want a fistful of Agents than Furys. Plus they'd make more pure profit that way, I'd guess.

I think that you have that backwards. You mail away Fury and then have the agent as the single card so please will army build them. People are lazy and will buy 5 figs in the store quicker than mailing away for a fig.

Just to prove my point...how long did it take you to mail off your Doc and Crystal Throne?

Don't/Shouldn't they have a higher profit margin for direct-selling a headswapped repaint than if they sold it to retailers? I can't imagine an Agent fig having a lot of non-fan sales, which is who the direct mail stuff really aims to.

Honestly, I'm not actually sure I have yet. I know I got all the stuff required and the M.O.s ready; but I can't find any of it and don't recall sending it all off. I do recall filling it all out, and it's not in the last place I recall it, so I'm kinda 'Meh' about it now. If I get them, I get them.

However, there's a vast amount of difference between how much I want either Doc or the Crystal Throne, and how much I want a SHIELD Squad.

The central character of the line is a mail-away?? :cry:

Oh and I agree with AV, you can't get too many ninjas.
I'm planing on using Ronin as the head of a few hand ninjas.

With all the rumored mutants that will show up in the Wolverine movie next year I'm thinking there should be lots of movie related goodness from the line once we start getting close to the release date. Which could be why some figures seem to be held back for a movie line.

Okay, once more with feeling . . . .

The price will be 2-3 dollars more than Mattel's Infinite Heroes, so anywhere from Six to Eight Dollars and change per figure. I'm betting it'll be closer to the $8 end myself, which helps to explain why Hasbro thinks that they need to move Legends to two-packs. Even given that the line is pretty old by retail standards it's hard to sell an $8 3 3/4th figure when you have a 6in one with a BAF part for $9 hanging one peg over.
