How many more did that? No wonder we can't get through and it's selling out.

Are you new to toy collecting Mr Harris?

Hehe, yeah but still, it's a little excessive. I'm used to 5 or so, but this guy is going nuts.

The black one is sold out now. How exactly are these people going to make anything on Ebay with so many of them that will be listed all at one time?

Simple, the market will absorb them just like it did the silver PDD's. These are $30-$50 figures by October. The blues will be well over $100 or more by that time, too. This covered the short term demand and if you missed these on HTS and want one, the time to buy on Ebay is right now since prices will not likely not drop until after the movie at the earliest.

Look at what it will cost you to get a Gold PDD now.

I remember seeing them online right after the SDCC for $60 BIN and passed as I figured they'd drop. They go for damn near $300 now.

They'll come down before they come uo (I think). I think Joe is kind of a 'flavor of the week' in the toy collecting world. They are nice figures and are attracting non-Joe collectors (again, I think). I tend to believe that these non die-hard fans will drop off sooner than later and the die-hards like us will be left to sort thru the stuff as it comes back on the secondary market.

I was able to get 1 of each. When I woke up, I saw they were listed as "coming soon", by the time I hit the "refresh", they were "instock" and it took me about 10 tries to finally get my order to process.

Ok, feel free to dress me in a red ninja robe and blindfold me :jinx: I completely forgot today they would be available. I got in time to get the black suited ones, I ordered 2, one for me one for my friend in the States where they were supposed to go, "proceeded to checkout" but somehow Express Shipping was selected, went back to change it to Standard, OUT OF STOCK Alright!

You are exactly right. The demand for recently released items, variants and exclusives is driven by the Johnny come lately fan. These guys go from hot line to hot line and follow the same pattern. In time, the once hot items are liquidated as these guys vacate a toy line and prices plummet. Look at Star Wars exclusives from a few years ago. They were once really pricey but now, most of them are worth less than their original cost. Everyone thinks the Joe movie is going to make them money with an upswing in mainstream popularity and, to an extent, they are correct. If you buy and sell the right things prior to the movie, you'll probably make a good deal of cash and be able to buy back all the stuff after the market declines.

There will come a day when those of us who are left in the Joe world can't believe that anyone actually paid $200 for a yellow Stalker since they will be as cheap and unremarkable as any of the equally rare JvC era variant figures.

When i got to the Con they were sold out of the Blue suited ones, and when I got on HTS it was the same story.

Well I tried to get one of each CC, but like others I crashed at check out. Kept refreshing and then my cart was empty. Called the 800 line got through but was on hold for a while. Kept playing online too. Blue suit was gone by the time the lady picked up. She was on with one person for an hour trying to get his order through. Their computers crashed too. So as I was talking with her the Combat Heroes and MLP came up so I got 1 Black suit CC, 2 Combat Heroes, and a MLP. The lady on the phone gave me free standered shipping too for all the problems and said that the Blue may comeback online later. So anyone have a spare Blue suit to trade or sell??

Oi. Even now I'm trying to order some Transformers on the site, and it won't go thru.

Really?
I just placed an order, and it went through just fine...

For those wanting the Cobra Commander, I would keep checking the site. Some of those multiple orders may be getting cancelled.

When they had a limit on the Death Star trooper, I placed multiple orders to get the 10 that I wanted (2 figures per order), they cancelled all but 1 order, on me.
According to their customer service person, I had talked to, the limits get applied directly to your log-in ID. As soon as you have met your limit on a specific item, any further orders get cancelled.

So there may be a surge of figures back in stock, at some point, if there are multiple orders getting cancelled.

I had a black and a blue in my cart as soon as they became available. I was refreshing all morning long while working. :whistling: Anyway, I went to checkout and error, error, error. Finally I think it is going to go through only to tell me the blue is sold out! I don't understand how that guy could have completed 9 orders for blues when I couldn't get 1 in when I watched it go in stock. I ended up getting 3 blacks, 2 combat heroes and 2 Nemisis Primes.

Ah well, I'm not really into variations anyway. I was trying to get it for someone else. I can't [LASER BLAST] too much. I got these figures for "retail" price without having to endure the cost or the misery of going to SDCC and standing in line.

Thanks for posting the link anyway, guys.

I was able to get a PDD Destro off of the website last year. Although it looks like it won't happen this year, this figure (or the concept of it, anyway) looks like it will be a "custom everyone should have".

There will be many Toht figures purchased just to have the head swiped. Unlike the PDD Destro, an imitation will be good enough for me. Is it a new head or is that just the appearance in the photo?

Got to agree with Mike T here. I remeber selling the grey and purple GvC Snake Eyes for about $35 and the HaloJumper/Airborne set for almost $100 on ebay. Now your lucky to get retail for them. I do think though the prices will stay up around $50 to $100 for the Destros. But yellow Stalker and Black Timber, they will plummet.

Well, if anyone ends up with an extra, keep me in mind. I was out and about running errands, and foolishly assumed there'd be enough (of course people buying 20+ of them probably didn't help). If not, I'll just make my own.
