Gotta admit Stalker's dreads don't sit well with me, but maybe they'll grow on me!

Not literally, of course :whistling:

For now, I'm not all that excited about the toon. (I haven't seen the clip.) However, I like the character designs, mostly and am stoked at the thought of a figure line based on them.

I like all the character designs but Stalker's dreds, just not something I imagine him doing under any circumstances.

I do admit I am cautious when I hear about the histories of the guys working on it, but I will wait until I see something to be certain.

It's like Sigma 6 on steroids, but more "real world", more adult, and with toys at a 3 3/4" scale. It's G.I. Joe perfection in my eyes.

I wouldn't say perfection (At least not yet), but I am excited by the prospect of a 3 3/4" version of Sigma 6. Even moreso because it looks like a more realistic version of said series.

But I still can't make a final decision because I HAVEN'T SEEN THE TRAILER! Why Hasbro? Why can't you just put it up for everyone to see?

Until then I reserve final judgement.

And Stalker needs a haircut :stalker: DAG!

i am really liking these designs ecspecialy duke (something i never thought id say)

i understand these will be 25th styled figures but i hope there not cartoony looking so they will blend well with the rest of our joes

on another note it makes sense for stalker to have that hair a spec ops team like the joes need modified grooming standereds it makes for easier infilitration while working undercover with the enemy

Ellis is a top pick to write the GI Joe universe for a do over - and having him in the new adult cartoon series is going to be really exciting. The deaths, action, and great techno-talk writing he's known for makes him a good choice.

My ideal GIJoe future would involve Ellis going from Resolute the cartoon, into writing some special missions comics (on and off again) for GIJoe. To kick start like a showcase for big talent to get involved with the brand. Then we can get Dixon (who did a great job on the final issues of Reloaded: scrapping what he could and writing a great Beachhead and Snake Eyes), Grant Morrison, Bendis, Millar, Azzarello, as well as Ennis into this franchise. Hama will be around writing the main series, or possibly a mini series, going in depth with the characters. Something like this will lend a to more credibility and recognition in the comic world, and even in animation for GIJoe. The better the writers and their profile, the better the property will be seen

I'm supporting the line already as I feel this is a genuine step that older fans like me have always wanted to see : GIJoe as an entertainment tool thats taken a little more seriously than just a kids toy.

(It's that and more)

I recommend his work recently on Iron Man Extremis, Black Summer, Ultimate Human, Fell, and Freak Angels to see the range and ability he has. Those are his works I like, and many others go crazy over his Transmetropolitan and Wildstorm writings

He's the guy who wrote Transmetropolitan?

Oh.

Well I still hold out high hopes that his work on the GI Joe cartoon will be better.

Now lets see it.

Lol, yeah.

But he is versatile, check out Black Summer, Fell, (very quality cop story) Iron Man and Ultimate Human, fun stuff

Somebody needs to make a custom of that new Flagg using a Terrordrome as the bridge section.

One of you guys with tons of space...get busy.

I got space but no skills.

So YOU get busy and mail it to me when you're done.

Oh, man.... can you imagine it?

Take two USS Flaggs, one Terror-drome and various miscellaneous parts. Combine into ultimate coolness. Take tons of photos.

...sigh...

I'd do it if I had the materials. Honest.

If I didn't have several things going on that's going to have me busy for several months, I could probably build that. I have the materials to even scratch build the bridge rather than using a terror drome. Problem is, I wouldn't have room afterwards and I'd only build it to sell. I'd estimate the end cost to be around $650 plus shipping. I don't know many people ready to pay that. But yeah, the majority of it is flat and stickers. The rest, if you have the tools it wouldn't be that hard.
