Went to Wal-Mart about 8:00 AM.

No sign of the store exclusive. I'm not sure if they didn't get them in, or had a ridiculouslt minimal supply and sold out.

I found the two figures I wanted most, the Scuba Clone and the Clone with that Cip-Quad Gun. Only ONE EACH of these in a pretty considerable display as far as I could tell. Either these guys are ridiculously short-packed or Clones continue to be popular army builders.

Saw the Captain Rex figure. Is it just me, or does he look like an animated version of either Commander Adama from Battlestar Galactica (and I mean the ORIGINAL!) or maybe General Rey from the G.I.Joe comics. Now I just have to wait for mine to show up in the mail, I guess.

Can't say as I'm that impressed with the animated-style figures, but I didn't expect to be. I'm glad Hasbro is continuing the more realistic figures, although I might've picked a better name than "Legacy Collection". It makes it sound outmoded, and it isn't.

They had tons of vehicles, including the $150 Millennium Falcon. That AT-TE is impressive, but I don't know if it's $100 impressive. The AT-AP, at $20, might be worth considering.

These two Clones I got have parts to build a droid. Only problem is, I'd like to have the complete droid, but there's no one else in the assortment that I'm all that inclined to buy. May try to trade for parts.

Still, overall, I'm pleased to see a renewed emphasis on Star Wars!

I made the rounds this mornig as well(didn't bother with the TRU Midnight Madness), hitting a couple Target's, WM's and TRU. I'm not into the animated fig's either, but like the rest. Got my most wanted Scuba Clone, Obi Wan w/Clone armor, and a Quarren Soldier. Only saw one Scuba Clone between 2 Targets, a TRU and 2 WM's(got one on a damaged card, which is why I thingk I got lucky). BMF will be mine next week and the AT-TE is a definate buy as well. Lots a good stuff from SW and TRU finally got new Joe stuff, when they put out the SW stuff. New Joe vehicles, dvd packs, and wave 4 comic packs-no singles though.

I went in this afternoon. They had EVERYTHING. Straight cases of all the single figures. CW, Legacy, vehicles, Lego - the display was enormous. I'd say they had 1000 figures there easy.

The bad news is they upped the price on figures by $4!! :verymad: The greedy c***s!!! $16 for a "LASER BLAST" SW figure? Get "LASER BLAST"! :verymad:

I did pay $300 for the Falcon though. After shipping from the U.S., it would probably be cheaper anyway. Plus I got a free Holo Grievous (that is up for trade/ sale btw). I have been playing with my Falcon for the last two hours. Initially, I thought I'd hate it because of the non-retracting legs and floppy canopy, but they are not that bad.

The Jabba wave sucks. The sand figures are very weak.

The new B-wing and A-wing look great. The Scuba clone, IG lancer and Gen. Kenobi kick ass. Still not impressed by the big walker.
Would have prefered a smaller one that clipped onto a rereleased modified Gunship.

Dang, what is it with this Scuba Clone? He's gotta be short packed. I mean, it's a cool figure, an all new Clone, but still -- sheesh! I had to really dig for mine as it was (and since I'm a tidy sort, had to pick up about a dozen figures off the floor when I was done)

Um, forgive a possibly ignorant question, but where in the world are you that you're paying $16 for a Star Wars figure!?

I've read various reports that the wave with the Scuba Clone isn't supposed to be out till 8/15, so that could be why he's short packed now and by that date, he should be more readily available. I don't army build SW' figures, but I will get a few more Scuba Clones, for a small squad.

England. And I will never pay $16 for a SW figure. No "LASER BLAST" chance. That kind of disgusting greed turns a man to theft. Not because I need to, but just to stick it to the bastards. Either that or I just torch the place.

TRU?

Wankers. The lot of 'em. :verymad:

Lots of scuba clones in the WM I hit this morning, lots of everything.

I had what I am sure is a "no-brainer" idea as I perused the Droid Factory figs, and also lamented my wanting to build my droid but not wanting to get the rest of the figs.....

Would a "B.A.T. Factory" line go over well in terms of sales?
The comic packs have already crossed over from Joe to SW (or vice versa) as well as the battle packs.
It just seemed obvius to me that a B.A.T. factory 6 figure line would go over well, and have parts spread out just like the protocol droid (head and weapon, 2x arms, 2 x legs, torso)
Just a thought

Ahhhhh...that explains a lot.

Don't blame you. Figure prices are pretty painful these days. Vehicle prices are still relatively tolerable...but they're creepin' on up there too.

I think he means the new Legacy series with The band member, Jedi Luke with the scarf thing, Han with his scarf thing, Chewbacca, etc. Yeah that wave isn't so great, but I do like one of the figures. I forget what the name is but he's the one almost dead center of the poster next to Darth Vader:

I think it would to a degree. It would be a little difficult to figure out how to make it work given the construction of the figures, but an all new different design I guess would work. Something that would allow peg and slot designs. Maybe have the hips and shoulders slotted so peg arms can slide in basically like the Star Wars C3PO, The pegs joints would just allow full range of motion rather than Star Wars style.

I did go out finally today and out of 2 Wal-Marts, it was like going to stores that had no clue about their job. I know they get emails about this stuff and they are suppose to know what they are doing, but they didn't.

The first Wal-Mart had nothing. I asked someone and told them what they were suppose to have. They went to the back and looked only to find nothing. They asked and we both were told it was sent back because of "the recall" I let them know there was know recall and someone will be getting in trouble once corporate gets this stuff. It was suppose to be out and they've now potentially cost Wal-Mart a lot of money.

I went to the second one and again, nothing. I asked one person who had no clue about anything and seemed like it was obvious she didn't seem to know her name. She finally took me to the department manager who told me he didn't know it was suppose to go out at midnight, but the street date was today. He checked in the back and there were no Falcons or any other vehicles. All they had were figures. He did let me go through the boxes. Of course knowing what the cases looked like and knowing the shipment codes, there was only 1 box I wanted to see. I grabbed that and got the Scuba Trooper, IG Droid, and the other clone from that wave. As I was walking away I saw the Ebayers on the other aisle waiting for the figures to go out. At least these will not making it to Ebay, hehe. These are probably the main ones they wanted too.

I've seen multiples of everyone-except the Scuba Clone(got the only one I saw between 2 WM's & 2 Targets, and a TRU). No sign of Snow outfit Padme or the guy in black(resembles Vader).

Han is single packed. We got like 7 cases at KB though, so that's 7 Han and 7 Luke figures. Wal-Mart should have even more. Actually all of them from that wave are 1 per case in the ones I saw. The other 4 figures are pack ins. Battle Damage Darth Vader, Episode 1 Clone with "clone gear" and I forget who the other 2 were but they were from previous waves just repacked.

I saw the Padme figure at Wal-Mart when they let me open the case with the scuba clone. There are 2 scuba clones and 2 of the other clone (with the big gun). The IG droid was 2 in the case, and Obi Wan was 2. The rest are all 1 per case.

Oh and the guy I like best from the wave with Han and Luke is Bane Malor. He's pretty neat and looks to have some G.I.Joe usage.

I went back to Wal-Mart this afternoon, and was able to take my time to look through everything. While it wasn't overly packed last night, it was still tough to just pick up each figure to look it over. I grabbed the armored Obi Wan and the Ewoks. I hadn't seen Obi Wan or the scuba clone last night. I almost grabbed the scuba clone, but I really like the ROTS clones more, especially since I have so much already invested in that style.

Obi Wan, while kind of looking like Grizzly Adams, is still pretty sweet due to the body sculpt, soft goods, and super articulated clone hips. Leektar the Ewok has some nice articulation as well. He's got ball shoulders, ball ankles, and ball neck; t-crotch; cut waist, and cut wrists. I was able to have him look up a few degrees with his hood on, which I thought was cool for a little figure.
