I know some don't like the fact that the IG uses the CC mold but I'm kind of diggin' it. Besides, Destro's company created that suit and it would make sense if he used it for his troops. I know the card states that they're expensive but maybe Destro found a way to mass produce them...or he just really ripped the Commander off. :)

I'm also looking forward to that Para-Viper. I like these new takes on Cobra troopers that fit in well with military realism.

No Destro did not make the suit. It was made by Fred in the comics.

Never read the comics. Going by what the file card states.

It's entirely possible that I am mistaken, but I believe I heard that Dusty was going to be in the "Arise Serpentor, Arise" DVD pack.

That don't count as SINGLE CARDED though. Cause Quick Kick is being released in those DVD pks as well.

Yes, but for those just looking to get '85 characters, they are atleast being made...

well that was my point.

Tele Viper, Quick Kick, and Dusty are all being/have been made and are great for a loose collection - therefore it would be great to get Airtight, Alpine, and Footloose in those group packs as well - just to have everyone loose.

For the retro packaging, they were all great cardbacks so I'd love to get them in single releases.

I think Torch & Ripper are scheduled for single card releases in the future (even though they came in a comic pack) which is brilliant because again - fantastic cardart.

Can't wait to get that Airborne! The original was a very well-done figure, but this looks like it could top it.

Hard Master is awesome!

Some of these vehicles look to be great redos.

Is that Steeler in the tan outfit? He's a visor swap away from being a great figure!

Wow! Best CC ever. I am so happy Hasbro realized the heads were too small. Larger heads might just make a lot of the bodies seem less tall and lanky. My only complaint is that Alpine has a very odd face shape - very cartoony - but then its based on the toon appearance.

Would it have killed them to do anything other than another Trooper in the "Best Of" set? I mean I guess the parachute pack (gotta have one for when your FANG gets shot after all) and the new head are neat, but I'd rather have that available in a format easier to army build. And I'm starting to hate those Snow-Job legs. At least with the original boots anyway. They should just use some different feet, improve things a ton. Is that a Roadblock torso on Alpine? I'd have liked removable goggles too, but I guess an Alpine I have to tweak a bit is better than making one from scratch. I do dig the 'toon accurate CC, though his head still sits too low. Decent set, enough new stuff to keep me happy.

I don;t mind another trooper in the set, what annoys me are all the tiny variations each time it shows up. First of all, they should have reversed the 5 pack and single carded ones - who needs tons of Glider pilots and one standard Trooper? While I can appreciate making troopers as they appeared in the toyline, cartoon, and comic, at least keep them consistent among those 3 areas. Each release brings slightly different paint apps on pouches, webgear, kneepads, etc. I want a consistent look and feel to my troops when I have them in formation for CC to speak.

And verring off-topic - can we get a more accurate Cobra Officer body? All it would take is too lose the knee pads.
