George Lucas is a G.I.Joe collector and he can't stand to see his favorite toy not on Ebay getting higher demand prices. Due to this he's sending out Tie Fighters to shoot down the boats bringing G.I.Joes over here to make the figures hard to get.

Hehe, but yeah, I'm pretty much there with that theory zed has. Like I was saying above, they want to figure a way to not have an overstock of figures on hand, but they also don't want to not have enough. They want to keep a popularity going even if it means making the figures harder to find. Other than getting them to say stores are ordering but they can't fill demand, nobody could really get a straight answer why production still hasn't been increased. I heard people ask just that many times. All they had to say is that they are doing everything they can to increase production.
