The prototype version is pictured on the back of the box for the Tumbler. I think some people have actually found it too, but I've only seen the black version.

I saw 2 at Target about an hour ago. Along with about 8 or 9 of the black one. It looks like the desert camo version is shortpacked since it was stocked on an endcap with a few of the black ones and the regular shelf area had only the black one. But it IS out there folks. You just have to keep looking.

And before anyone asks, no I did not get the camo version. I had a hard enough time asking the girl to buy me the black one. I did think about you guys though and if I was working and making my own money right now I would have totally snagged them for you.

Gotta say i saw all these today and my opinions are:
Figures - speed racer articulation/deformity, but closer to joe scale - I'd only get bats for parts(although I didn't see any thugs)if i wanted to make a batman the rest are wayyy deformed.

Batmobile- maybe not true 1:18, but one of the cooler vehicles in joe scale i've seen in awhile will probaly get a couple to make cobra vehicles. Also I hate to say it but some pop out guns or missile launchers might have been cool.

playsets - Batcave:pass - nothing useful here Joker lair: good for the vault door and maybe some other parts like jail cell

not super impressed(except I LOVE that tumbler), but I'm always glad to see Joe scale toylines.

I reeeeaallly with they could have put a hatch and cockpit on the larger remote control Tumbler. That would have been the ultimate Tumbler for me, as it's the correct scale and has a little more detailing on it like windshield wipers and other small things.

Also; in case nobody knew, the Batman Legos have been showing up. I grabbed the Batman/Iceman set yesterday and built it with my son today. It's a pretty cool set, but not as good as the past Batman block sets.

I bought the Lamborghini last night and was pretty disappointed with it. The goofy little wheels on the bottom totally turned me off, plus a couple of the panels wouldn't sit right. Worse of all was the price. I felt kind of bad paying $20 for it. Then I check the receipt and saw that I actually paid $25! It went right back to the store tonight.

For the life of me, I can't imagine what was going through their minds when they decided to make an out-of-scale Tumbler for $10 and then make a correct-scale civvy car for $25. It should have been the other way around. Make the Tumbler with pop-up guns, etc., throw in a figure or two, and charge $25 for that.

My perfect TDK series would have been:

$20 Tumbler with sensible action features like pop-up guns or even missile launchers
$10 Batpod with Batman figure
Bruce Wayne that actually looks like Bale
Batman with gadgets
Joker with accessories
Goon with gun and accessories
Commissioner Gordan with Bat signal
Batcave playset with Batman (heck even a snap-on armor one) and an exclusive Alfred

The 2-packs are on sale for $6.29 and the Tumbler is too at $8, at Target. The sports car is on sale too, at $17.

Beat to the punch. 2-pks were pretty well shopped, but snagged a black tumbler that Princess Leia has been driving since I got home with it (thanks to my 4-yr-old). Still looking for a camo version. Lots of SW clearance as well. Might be worth checking out!

Including the Order 66 sets that Hasbro said wouldn't go on clearance and that we better snatch them up before they sell out, haha.

Depends on Target. I hit 2 stores, first had only a few Order 66 sets and Rancor at regular price. Went to the second and they had a WHOLE LOT of the Order 66 set's at $6.98 and the Rancor for $27.

I saw the Gotham City playset this morning at TRU. If I remember correctly, the price was $60. It's evidently loaded with sound effects and such.

The Batman 2-packs are on sale at Target for $6.29 and the Tumbler is $8 this week. I think the playsets were $13 and some change, but I didn't pay much attention. I grabbed a Batman/Wayne pack and almost grabbed the camo Tumbler for the Joes. It's definitely a nice piece, and now is the time to grab one if you were on the fence before.

The Gotham thug 2-pack has been showing up at Target lately. I grabbed one this morning.

Kind of a let down actually. I'm going to dremel his head down for the mask and maybe figure out a limb transplant for him to have a workable figure. And, I kind of like the Batman with the silver under armor, so it's not a total bust.
