Yeah, folks should hit YoJoe for these pics...they are a LOT bigger than the ones HissTank had. You can actually make out some awesome detail! Very nice.

Yeah with the bigger pictures you can see the IG does still have the armor CC body. That sucks. I'll keep me from getting extra packs, that's for sure. Plus you can see Nemesis Enforcer is now Nemesis Immortal.

I never thought Hasbro would have issues with using the Nemesis Enforcer, of all names. Ah well.

Love the super high-rez pics on Yojoe.

Tripwire actually looks pretty cool. Too bad he's packaged with that lame-o Cobra Commander. That pack will be put on the backburner for me, though I may get it.

Strangely, I like the CC (yet another) and Tripwire. I am not at all interested in Destro (repaint city) or the IG (never really cared for them.) Falcon is of course made up of the same Duke/Flint parts that have been used several times over. It looks good but I am just not wild about it. I don't think I am ever going to be ready for Cobra-La figures. I honestly liked the cartoon movie but the figures...not so much.

I pre-ordered these from BBTS which I will keep in place, but I am likely to sell off 4 of the figures loose and just keep the comics since I have more interest in those than the figures. No doubt some of these will get the single pack treatment. That is where I will keep them because I will at least get the awesome card art that as really drawn me into the line.

I think the new figs are all mega-win. I'll prob get rid of Falcon and Destro though as I like the original 25th IG Destro paint scheme and my collection is pretty much devoid of any figure with those Duke arms.

Those are definitely awesome. And anyone planning on army building Grenadiers who doesn't want their Destros should contact me...I've been looking for multiples of that sculpt for awhile, but can never seem to find any of the original release around me.

Nice. I'll probably get all these comic packs, even though I've stopped buying most of the new stuff. (I'd buy the latest comic packs if I ever saw them in stores. I won't make any extra effort to get them, though.)

I find it intriguing that they're actually using Larry Hama's name in big print on the actual packaging.

PS Place me solidly in the category of those who were pleased to see Storm Shadow become one of the good guys. Maybe his back and forth of the past few years has been a little off-base at times, but the initial storyline was superb!

Sorry, should've elaborated more, I guess. I'm nothing, if not a huge fan of the Marvel run. Storm Shadow's turn, along with Destro and Zartan remain my personal favorite parts of the comic run, and feature heavily in my own private Universe. I would never want that changed, in a historical perspective.

But now that Hasbro wants to keep this franchise running for years, if not decades, they've been trying to reinvent Storm Shadow as a baddy thru-and-thru, forcing Devil's Due to keep the character in limbo for a number of years before finally admitting you can't undo the characterization given to him the comics. In the comics, only. in Sigma 6, the CGI prequels, and probably the movie, we're seeing a much more simplified, bad-to-the-core Storm Shadow. It's how Hasbro wants to market their character.

So considering "Loyal Cobra Ninja" is to be the future of that character, it doesnt make sense to have them releasing Joe versions in this line, or even letting Larry Hama write a comic where he faces off with Firefly to a morally ambiguous ending (with a Cobra symbol burned into his brow!) Talk about muddying a concept!

My problem with the 25th line is probably the smallest, pettiest type of beef. I just think if you're using this line to essentially kick-start a dying property, it might be more prudent to shore up the borders, as it were, and kick out the strays that watered down the brand in the first place.

If Fan A wants Dr. Venom, Fan B wants Sneak Peak, and Fan C wants Bio-Vipers but all three will buy Cover Girl... damnit, make Cover Girl, y'know!

Agreed. The whole concept of Cobra La, as used in the movie, just didn't fly with me. For years, to me, they've been the next step of Mindbender's experiments after the success of Serpentor...going beyond cloning humans to genetically engineering human/animal hybrids. Given their weird nature, though, they stayed quarantined away on a remote peninsula of Cobra Island...hopefully not to escape... :shifty:

Then they turned on Mindbender, ate him, and Cobra bombed the peninsula back into the Gulf. :-D

Well, to me Destro's the only stinker in the wave, and only because I really don't need another of that sculpt and certainly not in those colors.

The IG, on the other hand, looks pretty sweet. Glad I preordered a few.

CC is a welcome variation on the character and I'll find a use for him.

Nemesis Enforcer looks cool as heck, even though I've always been ambivalent on Cobra La.

Falcon's probably tweakable.

Tripwire kind of bums me out but only because I don't see why they had to leave his padding quilted like that. Seems like it would've been a simple thing to tweak (a'la HISS Driver) and would've bumped the figure up about a dozen notches.

Oh, well. He's not so bad I can't live with him. So far, only Bludd's been that from the 25th line.
