I have been to three targets (well far away from me0 in the past month, two were the "super" varity you described and I only found the Order 66 packs (Passed on them for the time being) and the cylinder Transformers (passed again).

The other Target did have the TF's (and battle Rancor) but nothing else.

Pfft, don't worry. That's what theories are for: big targets to throw facts at and see if they stick.

Anyhow, it sounds that we have another variable in the mix: the Hasbro rep. I've yet to see one of these elusive creatures myself. Do they bring Hasbro product into the store themselves to sell? Or, do they check in with the store, look in the back to see what Hasbro items the store's own truck brought in, and then arrange Hasbro displays for (in-theory) maximum vendage?

Really, it's the question of where the Hasbro product comes from that would provide the most information. Alternatively, if a Hasbro rep has permission to shuffle product from one Target to another, that is also worthwhile to know.

Guys that can't find them look on the end caps at the camping supplies. That's where mine where.

If no there then take a good look around, there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to how these are being shelved.

In my area there is 1 Super Target and 3 regular stores and at all the stores, they had all 3 Exclusives(Joe, Star Wars, TF) on 1 checkout lane endcap. All the stores had the exclusives, but I only saw 2 stores that restocked. The store I saw that had the clearance ones at, had them 1 time only and then nothing for 2 months, till yesterday. But these didn't look like reorders, as some the boxes were all beat up and worn out. Like they had been in the back for awhile.

On another board a member who is a Target employee, said about a month ago, that the Joe, Star Wars, and TF Exclusives would go to clearance within a few weeks, that some stores still had exclusives, in the backroom, as there was no designated shelf space for them, so they would stay in the back, till they were ready for clearance and people have said, that the stores they checked, had some on hand. Rebelscum, said that the Star Wars Exclusives wouldnt' go to clearance, but they would be put back out and I've seen those for about a week now, at a few stores. But not all of the stores have them, though. And the SW Exclusives are still regular price and I haven't seen any more of the TF Exclusives.

I think all the rep is for is when there's some sort of exclusive or if Hasbro has requested a product placement in a certain location. Most of all the second part. That's the only time I've seen a rep for any company actually is when there's specified product placement.

Technically the idea that a rep can take product from one store and place in another is possible. Just to say if a manager actually said "G.I.Joe doesn't sell well in our store", the rep can make the suggestion to let questionable products go to another store. But then when I was talking with the rep and said I wanted the items, she was going to urge the manager to bump up the reorder. So I don't know. They never did get that reorder. If they did and I missed it, it wasn't a "bumped up" amount.

Now this is very possible. If a store has an item they don't really think will sell and it would take away space for items that do sell, they will leave it in the back. Sometimes a case or 2 can get lost as well and as a result it's under several other boxes which causes the whole case to get damaged.

All three of these (SW Order 66, TF, and Joe vehicles) have been at all of my local Targets (1 in town, 2 nearest in Nashville) and all 3 have done the same thing. These were all put in the checklane for about 1 day, and that was it (everything out was sold). However, there were more in the back, and they've sat there for the last month/month and a half. The stockperson that originally told me they were there said they were "off the grid" and that they wouldn't be put out, apparently until they dropped to clearance. I've consistently checked the computer, and until today, they've been listed as being in the stockroom, but apparently because they weren't assigned a specific place, no one would bring them out. This was about 3 cases of each of the lines.

Now, I'm sorry, but that just doesn't make any sense at all. Only having them on the shelf for one day, and then letting them sit in the back until clearance, when there are plenty of people that would have bought them at full price!

Like I said, this same situation was at all three Targets, none of which are a SuperTarget.

At the risk of sounding cynical, this is what having so much of our daily lives automated leads to. No one would put it out because the computer didn't tell them to..

Hadn't seen these in the stores around here ever. Today I found a ton of them... in Bedding! WTF!? I can't find these in the first place & once they're on clearance they hide them far away from Toys. I just picked up a HISS, though they had around 5 or 6 of each.

i saw the battle rancor last night and had to pick it up. i hadn't even planned on getting it, just seeing pics online thinking "wow, that's impressive."

and now for my world's shortest review of the figure:

damn huge.

Yes! I would definitely send anyone the money who would be able to pick up an AWE Striker and HISS for me. The only one I was able to find was the recolored SHARC, I haven't seen any others around here.
